A Slimline Christmas by Samantha Read

Image
Hello Stampers, Samantha here today and I'd love to share with you this very easy slimline sized Christmas Card, using two sets of Rubber Dance stamps, Watercolour Xmas and Pines Fir Yew, they work so well together. Here is a close up of one of the baubles, I made it by using distress ink and whilst the ink was still wet I used just water to blend the ink out to the middle, leaving a white bit as a reflection. I added some little leaves and a tiny bow to finish. Here are the stamp sets I used: Pines Fir Yew And Watercolour Xmas  I do hope you like my card, thanks for looking! Wishing you a lovely day, Sam :) For more inspiration to can find our Facebook group right here !

Christmas in July by Samantha Read

Hello, Samantha here today and I'm so excited to be sharing this Christmas creation with you, I know it's not Christmas for a while yet but I received some new Rubber Dance stamps and I just couldn't wait to play with them, Watercolour Xmas is a stamp set that had been on my list for Santa for a long time, it's a wonderful set that has lots of baubles and bauble decorations for you to mix and match and also some very elegant sentiments too. For this Christmas decoration I've combined six stamp sets, I just love how well they work together. I began with a piece of cardboard measuring 8in x 8 in, I peeled off some of the top layer in places to reveal the lumpy layer, I cut it completely at 2.5 inches and used a hole punch to add the holes as shown. Then I added a coat of white gesso. To get an idea of layout I always stamp images and move them around, this project actually began with a cat and dog together but I don't think they were ready for Christmas and they d...

Tag with Deer and Pines Fir Yew by Gail

Image
Hello Rubber Dance friends.  I hope your Christmas preparations are going well, if it is a festival you celebrate.   Gail here today and I want to share a sparkly tag.  We all need a little sparkle in our lives.       For my tag I have used stamps from Frosty Friends , Pines Fir Yew and Textured Christmas Green .   I started by cutting a tag from light grey card using Gummiapan's Large Old Tag die.  I stamped the deer with black archival and masked it.  I took one of the large stamps from Pines Fir Yew and stamped around the edge of the tag using Iced Spruce distress ink.  Then I repeated using Evergreen Bough distress ink. The deer was coloured with Promarkers and I used iridescent glitter glue lightly to add frosty sparkle to the pine border.  I added some green bobbly wool as a tag tie and thought it needed a little bit more so I stamped the holly sprig , coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut.   Thanks for...

Kitty Christmas by Samantha Read

Hello, Samantha here today and I'm sharing with you a page I made for my art journal which was inspired by my cat, Tom, who used to love playing with the baubles on the Christmas tree each year. He would always knock off the red baubles first! It was a fun page to make, for the background I used distress inks, lustre sprays and the Pines Fir Yew stamp set to make my tree. I then used Purr-fect! and Textured Christmas Green stamp sets to decorate my bauble. I made the bauble by die cutting a circle, painting and adding the fixture and string at the top. The fixture is simply cut from white card also and painted gold. To finish I added some string and some glossy accents to the holly berries. I really wanted to add glossy accents to the whole of the bauble but guessed I would run out lol. I do hope you like it, thanks so much for looking. Wishing you a lovely day, Samantha :) The stamps I used are: Purr-fect!  Pines Fir Yew and Textured Christmas Green

Mini Folder ATC size

Image
Hi Susan from the DT here.  I hope you all have a good Christmas, and get all your Christmas wishes fulfilled.  I was inspired by Rubber Dance's Textured Houses to make a mini folder in ATC size. I started by sticking Tim Holtz tissue wrap on as background.  Then it all got a layer of white gesso.  I stamped the houses and the stars, which were embossed with gold powder.  With distress ink and crayons I coloured the sky and the street.  The houses are highlighted with Prismacolor. I have used: Textured Houses , Beautiful Words , Watercolor Xmas , Pines Fir Yew , A Little Birdie and Frosty Friends , eyelet, TH tissue wrap, Prismacolor, Embossing powder gold, Archival Ink jet black, TH distress crayons, red thread. The same procedure for the back of the booklet. Here the houses are also used for some to/from cards. Thanks for visiting the blog, and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hugs, Susan You ca...
