Hello, Samantha with you today and I'm sharing another page for my ever growing art journal. This page for me was lovely to create and I was trying to capture the last of the summer flowers whilst autumn fungi start to appear, it's my favourite time of year. Your eyes are not deceiving you, my page is a little wonky! But it was easy to make, here's how: For the colourful, central piece I created the background using stamps from the Pencil Marks #5 stamp set and distress inks. I prepared the journal page by simply stamping in grey ink some of the wonderful I Love Leaves stamps in just two corners as shown. The flowers, poppy heads, leaves and mushroom were stamped on white card and coloured using water colour paints and coloured pencils. To finish I added some black enamel accents and some white highlights with a Posca pen.  Hi everyone, Today I'm sharing some more inspiration with you using one of my favourite stamps. The elephant from African Animals. This is a slimline card. I had a gel plate that was just the right size for this project. The gel print uses a couple of colours from our Mood Board this month. I put down the purple, then placed a stencil on top.  Using some photocopy paper I removed some of the paint from between the stencil design. The light colour is what I applied to lift the print. Once it was dry I stamped some leaves from I Love Leaves and Big Maple. If you are having a go at this, you'll need to allow plenty of drying time. Both for the paint and the stamping parts. On a scrap piece of gel printing from a past project, I stamped  the elephant from African Animals . I sat it on the gel print to see what space it took up.  Hi everyone, Do you ever just use stamps on their own  as a challenge to yourself? It is one of my favourite things to do. Today's tutorial shows a card that is all stamping with a splash of pink and grey. I hope you enjoy it. The stamp sets used are Dancing Woman , Antique Botanicals and I Love Leaves. I started by making some masks. The flowers and the Dancing Woman were stamped onto photo copy paper and then cut out. Remember that when you make a mask you cut inside the image. Stamp the flowers. They look random, however I practiced on some scrap paper first so that they would be in the right positions. I didn't want the lady to be covered up. Carefully place the flower masks over the top of the flowers then stamp the Dancing Woman . I've added a little rustic water colouring with Distress Ink to the lady's dress and skin.  Hello everyone, welcome to a fun tutorial using the super cute   Handsome Hedgehog  stamp. He is such a beautiful little character and he has come out today to show you his home. In hindsight I can see how it would've looked absolutely amazing with a few large mushrooms masked  behind the hedgehog. Funny Fungi , Fun-gie Mushrooms or even Textured Mushrooms would've been great as a backdrop. Are you ready to see how this was made? Here we go. I had a plain gel print which I thought would look great as  a background. Handsome Hedgehog  was stamped using a stamping press so that the detail wasn't missed on the paint background. With the left over ink on my stamp, I stamped him onto some photo copy paper and cut out a mask for later. The wood and leaves were easy choices to colour in. But what colour to make the flowers?   Hello creative friends! It´s Melina here today sharing the process of making a mini journal using gelliprints, and also finishing the cover using Rubber Dance stamps. I love making backgrounds! A great way to create backgrounds is to use a gelprinting plate. Sometimes when I´m not sure what to create, but I NEED to create something, I always start by making backgrounds. Along the way I always figure out what I want to do and I get inspired. When I was done with the printing and binding, I used the I Love Leaves stamp set to decorate the cover.  You can see exactly how I printed the pages, made the journal and did the cover in the video  HERE .
