Oh Heart of mine

Hello everyone, Debs here with my last post as a Guest Designer. I have loved my time on the blog with the incredibly talented team, who have made me feel so welcome. And of course I have got to play with the wonderful stamps, which I love, and will continue to play with for a long time. Today I bring you a little love.

 


I gave the heart a couple of coats of Gesso and once dry played with layers of chalky ink. Spritzing 
each layer with water and then drying.


 To add some shimmer I used a spray with mica.

 
A favourite stamp Adding more interest to the background.


First I stamped the main feature and then added a kaleidoscope of Butterflies 

I repeated the details on the top bar.

Debs this certainly is a *Take a Bow* piece, I have loved seeing your creations for Rubber Dance but this speaks volumes to me and it needs no sentiment. CASology Challenge #213: Stitch - Card by Bibi

The cue word at the CASology challenge this week is STITCH, so without further ado - here's my card: Stamps used (all from Rubber Dance): Giraffe , Mannequin from Sew Sweet ,  X stitches from Stitch & Frame . Stamped with Archival Ink (coffee), coloured in with Distress inks (tea dye and mermaid lagoon). After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too.
