Hi Everyone and happy Wednesday! I'm glad to guest design this month for Rubber Dance, as I have been invited to do it by Bibi after my last win, thank you again very much to all of you. Today, I'm going to share how I created the booklet you saw at the beginning of the month and its content, I hope you will enjoy this blog post, I'm thrilled to offer you a complete tutorial of it. In case some of you don't know me, here j ust a few words to start :) I am Corinne Rollet aka Coco(folies) on craftyblogland, living in France in a small village of Brittany. I'm a more than happy mixed media crafter ( full-time , yippeeeee), teaching classes and workshops in my local area mainly. This is the way of life I chose two years ago... quitting my regular job (well-paid, but very boring :-D) to live my passion . I love sharing my techniques and meeting other crafty ladies. I have been also a proud designer for C...
Hi everyone. One of the good things to come out of the pandemic is the reinforcement of how so very special our friends are. So this card is for all our friends, near and far. Would you like to see how it was made? I have a step x step for you. And I made a little discovery that uses masking (my favourite technique) but on a gel plate this time. The baby penguin, from Playful Penguins , is the first thing to be stamped. Mask off the baby penguin, stamp the mom, masking off again. Then stamp the moon from Celestial and the floating ice sheets from Playful Penguins . It's surprising how many stamps are in this set. I stamped the waves once, then masked the top of it so that I could add the seal. I wanted it to look like he is popping up out of the water to say hello. The seal is then masked and more waves are added around him to create the sea. This is where my happy little discovery happens. I wanted to have the reflection of the moon in the water. I decided to use my g...
Hey everyone! I'm not sure whether what I've made for today can be called an art journal page or altered canvas, because it's really neither .. It's not a page in a journal and the "canvas" is a piece of cardboard, so... maybe it's a hybrid of sorts. No matter what it's called, here it is! And this is what it looks like with the guitar flap open: The reason why I made this .. "whatever it's called" .... is that I've had this bundle of guitar string-looking wire lying on the floor in my studio for some time. Yes, on the floor! (If you thought I'm a very neat and tidy person, I'm sorry to burst the illusion). I've no idea where that wire bundle came from, and I'm not sure why I hadn't bothered to pick it up... but I've looked down on it from time to time, thinking I could probably use it for something, some fine day... .... and then, a few weeks ago a friend of mine was visiting, he pic...
Hello everyone! It's Bibi (owner of Rubber Dance) here today. I can't believe it's been a whole year already since my very first Design Team started working for Rubber Dance! And what a GOOD year it has been!! I was extremely lucky to find such nice and talented women who were willing to make artwork in exchange for stamps! And what do you know - they think they are lucky, too! It's a win-win situation for us all, but between you and me, (I'm leaning forward, whispering ...), I am the luckiest of us all, no doubt!! I couldn't have kept this blog so active and full of awesome artwork and tutorials all on my own, nor would I have been able to spread the word about my stamps like my DT has on their own blogs and other social media - and a few paper publications, too, plus lots and lots of video tutorials on youtube. Did you know you can find all the video tuts in one place right here ? Now you do, but go back and look at those videos later because right now ...
