Heat Embossing Resist on Canvas

Hello y'all! So happy to be a guest designer here today for Rubber Dance Art Stamps! My name is Niki, but in Blogland I am Pawsitively Creative. I am honored to be here and to show you how I used these luscious and lovely stamps. Here is what I made:

I was intrigued with these stamps and had to showcase the two together - Vintage Script and Diamonds. I started with a Gesso'd canvas. When that was dry I used the stamps with a white embossing powder to create my "resist". I then inked everything with archival ink and used a baby wipe clean off the stamped image.

I then started adding my chipboard butterflies. I inked the butterflies the same as the canvas and added the black edge while leaving a little bit of white peaking through.

I handmade the pink flowers and glued some cheesecloth down. The hexagon Chippies were painted with gesso and randomly applied for some depth.

I stamped the sentiment (Dream It, Wish It, Do It from the set Think Again) onto vellum and then ripped the edges. I glue that piece to a black wire I shaped. Lastly, I added from greenish gems.

I do hope you enjoy this post! Thank you to Bibi and the crew! Y'all are awesome sauce!

Hugz! ~Niki
