Hi Everyone, Saadia here with a quick and easy mini canvas project. I hope you like it. I made the background with texture products followed by washes of acrylic paints. Unfortunately I forgot to take photos of the process steps. I used the big tree stamp from the  Carved Whimsy Wood  set as my focal image. The words are from the  Journal Words  stamp. Hi Rubber Dance Universe, this is Gabriele from Cologne Germany. I'm a mixed media artist and proud to be the August Rubber Dance guest designer.   Today I made a 5 x 5 cm wrapped canvas as a gift to put into happy mail using the Grungy Butterflies stamp set   First I glued down tissue paper and a punched black cardboard circle.      I coloured the tissue with blue and sand watercolour and stamped a butterfly on mixed media paper.      I used a leaf primer pen randomly on the wings to put some gold leaf on them.     After swiping the excess gold leaf away with a soft brush I cut the butterfly out and glued it loosely onto the black circle, because I don't want it to be totally flat. Hi everyone, Saadia here with a quick and easy mini canvas project. I hope you like it. I have used a 4x 4 inches round canvas for this project. I bought it locally from a craft store.  I made the background with Dylusions ink sprays. After that, I did background stamping with  Art defined stamp set . I used Archival inks. Did a bit of heat embossing with  Grungy stuff stamp set . Next, I glued a diecut with gel medium. Stamped and colored a small bee from  Beautiful bugs stamp set  and added a word 'Dream' from  Art defined stamp set . That's all for now. Hello stampers, Craftyfield here with a larger than usual project. When I saw Bibi's collab projects ( here and here ) with  Trish Latimer 's StarTrish Design stamps and her own Textured Flowers I was tickled... I had already decided that these designs belonged together and was planning a piece of my own. So this is my contribution to this collaboration! The background is inspired by Trish's process, although obviously I made it my own with "my" colours, motifs and foreground scene! My substrate is a humble box lid, but it is canvas size at 28 x 32 cms (11 x 12 1/2 inches) and will be in constant use during my crafting hours as it will hold some of my stash... Background: I smeared the paints in layers over some White Tinting base, using a brayer first and my fingers at the end. The stencilling and lid printing was also done with acrylic paints whilst the stamping has all been done with Archival ink. Finally ...

  Hello crafty friends. It's Sam here with my final guest designer make. I've had great fun and thank you so much for all the wonderful comments and to Bibi for making me feel so welcome here :) I've had so much fun using the { Affirmations } stamp set again but this time I used a deep edged canvas and my inspiration was the stamps and a song, a Disney song which I'm sure you all know. It's quite difficult to do this write up because I made this a couple of weeks ago and as soon as my daughter saw this she claimed it as her own and took it away lol. Like my previous makes I began with a coat of black gesso and then where colour paints were going to go I painted white gesso, this keeps the colours nice and bright. I used one of my favourite colour combinations and used Martha Stewart paints: Raspberry Ice and Blue Sky and Claudine Hellmuth: Purple Palette. It's my turn to share a tutorial with you today and I've been having some fun with my Artist Plate, using stamped metal to create realistic-looking paint tubes to use as embellishments. I've created a cute little ATC-sized canvas on which my mini paint tubes can take centre stage. Here's how I created it: Stamp the paint tube images onto metal sheet with StazOn: you need a permanent ink that will dry well on metal for this technique. Allow to dry before handling. Stamp the images again onto thin copier paper and cut out the labels. It's important to use thin paper as you want to be able to shape the labels around the tubes. Cut out the metal tubes leaving folding 'tabs' either side as shown. Score then fold the tabs over to make a tubular shape. Open them out and fill with silicone-type dimensional glue before closing again. Allow to dry. Colour the labels with Distress Inks of your choice (I used Salty Ocean and Mustard Seed)...

Good morning, crafty friends. Before we all get into the annual hectic of creating Christmas cards, decorations and home decor, I decided to make a sunny and warm canvas. I used Gelatos for the background and some Gesso with stencils, I stamped my giraffe and the sentiment on tissue. Hi my dear Rubber Dance Friends. Susanne here and I have a small mixed media canvas to share today. It measures only 4" x 4". The background is made with Viva Decor Inka Gold and Gesso. I don't recommend Inka Gold, because it molds - that's not good quality. But I try to use it before all of them are scruffy. Let's talk about the stamping! If you've ever tried to stamp directly onto a canvas you might have noticed, that this impression is not a crisp and clear image. If I want a clear stamped image on a canvas I stamp it onto tissue paper and adhere it with Gel Medium. I used one of the beautiful faces from the "Da Vinci" set and some sentiments from the new "Affirmations" set designed by Katy Leitch! Adding some doodling to a mixed media pieces adds more interest to it. I use most of the time uniPOSCA markers, sometimes Acrylic markers. For today's tutorial I've created a mixed media mini canvas using lots of different products and mixing up images from several Rubber Dance sets. My canvas is teeny tiny - and I love these cheap little canvasses (they come in packs of 4 for £1) as they are great for experimenting on before you commit to a larger area; a bit like ATCs. Apply some ColourArte Silks Acrylic Glaze in a green colour with a credit card. Add some smears and then use the edge of the card to add criss-crossed lines. The glaze dries a little bit dimensional so the lines stand out nicely when the other layers are added. Stamp the Round in Circles image with Watering Can Archival Ink and the large circle with yellow ink. Spray the canvas with Mustard Seed Distress Spray. You must use permanent ink like Archival or StazOn as we will be adding further water-based layers on top. Stamp the lines stamp (from Stitch & Frame ) with Watering Can Archival.
