Hello everyone and welcome to a new month and a brand new challenge here at the Rubber Dance blog!  For most of us up here in the north, June is the first month of summer and with summer come flowers in bright and happy colours. So, here you go - our three challenge colours for June and a not-so-very surprising (although optional) theme: We need to see you using all three colours for your entries. Please check  our simple rules  before you link up You must use stamping, but you do not have to use stamps from Rubber Dance in order to participate. The challenge runs till June 30th. Rubber Dance Stamp Challenge - October

Klikk her for info på norsk (info in Norwegian) Hello, gorgeous! Are you ready for another fun challenge? I guess you are! Our colour scheme and theme this month might not come as a big surprise. After all, fall/autumn is all around us (here in the north, anyway), and we do love its glorious colours! We hope you do, too, when you create an entry (or three) for our October Challenge: Did you know that "fall" is an Old English word? It replaced the word 'harvest' in the early 1600s as more people started moving into cities. City dwellers began to use the phrase 'fall of the leaf'' and, over time, the phrase was shortened to fall. Surprisingly, etymologists don’t know where the word "autumn" comes from. It was used as far back at the 1300s (by Chaucer), and Shakespeare often used the word, too. As English spread to the New World, the common season names split as well and today, American English uses the word fall while British English

Easel Card With Textured Flowers

Hello.  Welcome.  Gail from the design team here today with a project using the new Textured Flowers stamps.  I loved these the moment I saw them.  Big beautiful blooms.  And many small er stamps for adding leaves and texture.   I decided to make a Twisted Easel Card.  There are many tutorials available but I used this one by Lois.  So here's my card using Textured Flowers and of course, a giraffe .......... I was inspired by the Rubber Dance challenge colours which for June are: I stamped the large simple daisy, masked and stamped two more.  I added the giraffe from African Animals .  I think I'll call her Daisy. I thought it looked a bit empty so I stamped more daisies...... and coloured with distress and d y e inks.  I stamped and embossed three of the doodled flowers and the giraffe, fussy cut and added them to my panel.  I used brads and a Cheery Lynn die cut for the flower centers.  I also doodled a little faux stitching
