new art journal page “DREAM”

Image
Hi Rubber Dance friends! Josi Tomàs is here today with a new tutorial. How do you keep your art journal? Is full of lovely projects or perhaps a little empty? I doesn't matter. Today we can create a beautiful page together. Below you can find the “step by step”... First, I stamped on three basic colored papers three beautiful  mixed media stamps each in the same color of the paper. I have used "Distress Oxide" ink because they are my favorites. Then  I made a small collage with these papers combining it with sheets of book paper and flower paper. Have you noticed that I have used the same range of colors? I often love to integrate the different parts of the project using white. In this case I have used a "modeling paste” because it gives a little volume .  Finally I stamped this beautiful flower with black permanent ink to then paint with watercolors. This was the main element of my decoration.  The final touch was made  with three stamps around the pro...

VIDEO - Tag with Textured Mushrooms by Priss

Image
Hello Stampers, Priss here today, and I'd like to share with you this Tag with  Textured Mushrooms . I'm in love with this set  and I had some leftovers of the mushrooms that I painted for  my last Art Journal Page . So I wanted to make another tag for my wall. For my tag,  I first cut down a piece of watercolor paper to the size of 6 1/2 by 3 1/2 inches.  After applying some oxide inks  several times  with the smooshing technique, I enjoyed the stamping time (here and there) with the new  Mixed Media Marks 3  stamps. I love using up all the leftovers that  freely   roam over my table. S ometimes t hey are stamps that I didn't use on my last project, but mostly chunks of papers, scraps of fabrics, die-cuts, cardboard, tea bags, even threads.  If I don't use them right away, at my next cleaning I keep them in used bags and put them in a nearby box, waiting their turn to use them again. Have you tried using leftovers in your proj...

Under The Sea Bokeh Card by Dot Leathbridge

Hi everyone, Welcome to some underwater inspiration from me today  using the Textured Fishes stamp set. I've been eyeing off this Textured Fishes stamp set for a little while and thought that they might look good on a bokeh background. What do you think? I only used two colours, which  were chosen from our  Moodboard this month. Here are a couple of close-ups of the fish for you. This set has different sized fish facing different directions which makes it quite a versatile set to have  in your collection. The fish have all been coloured in with  alcohol markers and a circle was die-cut around them. All stamp sets from Rubber Dance come with extra elements for you to use. I've used some squirls in the background along with some bubbles near the fish. And of course some underwater weeds is also  handy to have. I hope you enjoyed seeing my card today. The stamp set used is: This set had everything in it that I wanted to use. Thanks so much for stopping...

Wild and Free Mixed Media Card

Image
Hello Rubber Dance Friends, a new year, new stamps and i'm happy to share another card with you. I've used some of my favorite Rubber Dance Stampsets, the Grungy Butterflies. These are the bigger ones - did you know, that there are smaller stamps of them too? I'll link them both in the bottom of the blogpost. As so often, the background is a gel print. This time in soft colours, yellow and orange.  I embossed the butterflies themselves on vellum with embossing powder. I like this look, do you? I hope you enjoyed my card.  Dunja xx   ( Blog  |  Instagram  |  Facebook ) Grungy Butterflies Mixed Media Marks #3 Small Grungy Butterflies   (i did not use them on this card) Rubber Dance Links: Website Facebook Pinterest Blog Instagram YouTube

Mystic Turtle by Samantha Read

Image
Hello, Samantha here today and I'm sharing a wooden art tag. I really enjoy working on wood because you it's so strong and tolerates all mediums. I also love turtles and the moon, I find them so mesmerizing, it's the moon light reflecting off the surface of the sea that the guides turtles to the sea when they hatch at night time. To decorate my tag I created the background using watercolour paints, some sequin stars, texture paste through a star stencil and lots of glitter for a sparkly sky. I made the moon embellishment by moulding wet kitchen towel on a big moon rubber stamp from my stash and then painting with an acrylic iridescent paint.  I then stamped the fabulous turtle from the Textured Sea Creatures set and a flower from Loose Florals 1 on to white card and coloured using Prismacolour pencils. To finish I added some ribbon. Here are the stamp sets I used; Textured Sea Creatures Loose Florals #1  I do hope you like my tag, for more inspiration why not join the Rubbe...

Magical Art Journal Page by Lisa

Image
Hi friends! Lisa today here and I'm happy to share with you a new art journal inspiration playing with some fabulous Rubber Dance stamps! To start my spread I chose some pieces of old book page and patterned papers and I glued everything down with Tombow Stick glue. So I spatuled a little bit of white gesso here and there and once dry I used stamps from Mixed Media Marks and Sketchy Leaves with archival inks. I chose a butterfly from Inky Friends stamp set and I used it as my focal point on a piece of white cloth. I stamped and cutted a sentiment from Mix A Sentiment 2 stamp set and finally I made some splatters with pink liquid paint. I used these products from the shop:  https://www.rubberdance.de/big-sheets/sketchy-leaves/#cc-m-product-14519569833 https://www.rubberdance.de/big-sheets/mixed-media-marks/#cc-m-product-14348286233 https://www.rubberdance.de/big-sheets/inky-friends/#cc-m-product-14383086833 I hope you enjoyed my art journal inspiration for today!
