Rubber Dance Art Stamps - Blog

 Hi everyone, I can't get the Mandalas out of my mind this month, so today I'm sharing another card using one of the stamps from this set. This time I've teamed it up with the beautiful Dancing Woman. A true classic! The colours of our Mood Board are so soft and feminine this  month and I think the Dancing Woman goes well with this theme. Here are a few pictures that I took along the way while making this card. I stamped a stamp from Carved Collection #3 then stamped a Mandala stamp over the top of it. Masking off the Mandala , I faintly stamped Da Vinci Woman #1 so that she  is peering out from behind the Mandala.  She will be watching over the Dancing Woman. The leaves are from Sketchy Flowers #3. I used a part of one of the flower stamps as that  is all that was needed. There is something very relaxing about colour in  Mandalas don't you think? Hello, Samantha here today and I'd like to share with you a Christmas decoration I made using the Textured Christmas Trees stamp set. Just a quick post as I expect you are all getting ready for the busy time to come. I began by die cutting the basic house and added texture paste through a snowflake stencil to give lots of lovely texture. I used metallic paints and lots of glitter to add sparkle. Next step was to construct the house and add the roof finally adding the trees and shooting star which were stamped on white card and coloured using watercolour paints. To finish I added highlights with a white pen and more sparkle to the star and tree tops using gold and silver leaf. I will be adding some string so it hand on the tree.   Did you ever think of water coloring a stamped image by just using the stamp as the sketch? It's a lazy way of watercoloring lol .  Here's the very easy How-To:   1. Stamp the flower from stamp set  Sketchy Flowers #1  with a shadow ink onto watercolor paper. Stamp it on a piece of paper also with a darker ink to be a guide during the water coloring process, as some stamped lines might become a little invisible when adding darker colors.   2. Basically fill in with color one petal or leaf at a time, by wetting it a little with water with one brush and paint with another brush to add a base layer of color. Let the water do the work for you. Leave to dry.  3.  Add a layer of a warm yellow over the first layer of paint; this is called glazing. Make sure the yellow is not an opaque color. It will make the colors richer; blends all the colors a bit together too. Leave to dry. 4. Add depth to the images by adding a darker color of watercolor...

Hi everyone! Mariken here, with a Christmas card tutorial for you,  making these Textured Bird cards I used :  Textured Birds , Four Seasons and Pencil Marks #2 This time I used my left-overs from the gelliprints I made last time, check my post on December 7th. I cut the background into little pieces and glued them on white cards. I used white embossingpowder for the birds and Christmas trees, love the white lines around the images.Then I colored the birds and the trees with Ecoline markers and cut them out, glued them on the background. Hello Rubber Dance friends!!! Josi Tomàs is writing. HO HO HO!!!! Christmas time is coming and I can't be happier. The same as the song say "is the most wonderful time of the year..."   Is time to do beautiful Christmas postcards but if you don't have any Christmas stamps or they won't get to you in time but you have other stamps, you can still create it too.   Here below I leave you the "step by step" and the result... Firstly I chosen one stencil and I applied modeling paste. I let it dry very well. Then was time to play with my spray "Distress Oxide" ink and water to make them flow better. It is very easy...first you apply two or three colors and then spray water so the inks move better and allow the colors to mix (remember to use colors than can be mixed). A few drops of gold also look good, right? Thirdly I stamped this beautiful  LEAVES and I painted it with the same "Distress Oxide" colors and with my white Posca I made it lit...
