Cozy Christmas Gift Tags with Dunja

Image
hello dear Rubber Dance friends, it's one day before Christmas Eve, time has flown and now it's almost done and we should arrive at the quiet time. Sometimes it doesn't feel like Christmas or Christmas a joy to look forward to. Especially at this time, it's difficult, nothing is the same.... Let me say, if you are creative, you can forget a little bit about the surroundings, be colourful, it's good for you.  ♥ Here are three last minute gift tags for you. They were made almost only from leftovers. As you can see I used gel prints, I cut gift tags from them and made the top with a punch. Then I used a stencil, embossing paste and various gold-coloured embossing powders to create the background on the tag.   Next I embossed the poinsettia flowers on Vellum in white. I then also embossed the flowers on Gelliprints using white Embossing Powders. Then I cut everything out with the scissors and glued them together Then I placed the petals on top of the tags and...

Christmas Wishes by Angie Coomber

Image
Hello arty friends, how are you? I wanted to wish you all a merry Christmas by way of a tag. For this I started by embossing some stars with clear embossing powder onto my tag. Next I applied some Distress Oxides onto the tag in order to create a dark sky background. I've been trying to use up some of my many scraps of paper so I used these to stamp some houses, clouds and a moon, and cut them out. I arranged the individual houses on the tag, as well as the sky elements, and then glued everything down. I used my Stabilo pencil to outline the houses and went over the outlines with my waterbrush to give it a softer look. Finally I added a little bit of doodling, glitter, and a quote sticker. I know it is going to be a very different Christmas for many of us this year but I hope it's still a good one and send you all big hugs. Stay safe. Angie Stamps used: Textured houses Celestial

It's a Snowy Christmas by Dot Leathbridge

Hello everyone, is it snowing in your part of the world? Where I live I can only dream of a white Christmas, it's usually hot here. It doesn't stop me from making snowy scenes though. I think it would be awesome to have a white Christmas. Today I've a tutorial for you showing how to make  this snowy Christmas card. Are you ready to see how it is made? Here we go. My idea was to have the moon poking out from behind some clouds so I stamped and masked some clouds before stamping the moon in the middle of the masks. The moon and clouds are from the stamp set called Celestial. The masked were removed and then they were cut out in one piece.  I wanted some extra clouds so I repeated this step. After having a play around with some trees, I decided to combine a tree from Textured Christmas Trees with a tree from Whimsical Winter as I liked the snow on the top of them. The same masking technique used for the clouds was used for the trees. Then they were cut out as one piec...

O Christmas Tree by Samantha Read

Hello, Samantha here today and I'd like to share with you a wreath, it's made using bits of driftwood so it's a versatile project as it could be a year round home decor item depending on how you decorate, considering it's driftwood the Textured Sea Creatures stamp set would be an excellent project. Back to Christmas.... I simply lay out my sticks around a paint pot to get the center and adhered using a glue gun. I then flipped it over and had lots of fun, painting and adding sparkly happiness. I stamped the tree from Textured Christmas Trees and holly from Textured Christmas Green and coloured them using watercolours before cutting and adhering in place. The snowflakes are parts of a Sizzix die, there are silver, sequin stars, sticky gems, glitter glue, splats of silver paint and glossy accents. I do hope you like it, thank you for looking. I've had a great 2020 being a part of the Rubber Dance Design Team and would like to wish you a Happy Christmas and a Happy, He...

Atc´s Inky Friends

Image
Hi, I'm Vero (@ Vero.kt) and I welcome you to today's inspiration Thursday. How's everybody ?I've been playing with  Inky Friends ,  Mixed media marks   , Old book Page  and  Grungy Stuff  to create a colorful  Atc´s   that I hope you like. Very easy to do, we started. We cut watercolor paper to a size of 2.5 x 3.5 inches. In my case, the paper is smooth and hot pressed, and I color the backgrounds with inks. When the backgrounds dries (we can speed up the process with a heat gun) we're going to add texture and depth with permanent black ink, and with oxide inks here and there. Later, I emboss in white, choose one of the stamps from the set  Mixed media marks .  I choose one of the stamps from the Inky Friends set, stamp it, color it with watercolor pencils, then cut it out and integrate it into the composition. One of the parts that I enjoy the most is the composition, I have to admit that it is usually the part that takes m...
