Hello Rubber Dance friends.  Gail here today with a summery flowery card using the challenge colours of blue, green and persimmon. I used stamps from Bold and Beautiful , Happy Birthday , and the Violinist I started by stamping my card base with Salty Ocean and Twisted Citron distress ink pads.   Then I stamped the large and small Chrysanthemum stamps from the Bold and Beautiful set all over the card using Salty Ocean distress ink. I stamped the Violinist with black archival ink. I cut three tags.  Coloured two with Salty Ocean and one with Ripe Persimmon, stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment and used a pretty flower brad to attach them to my card.   Our monthly challenges are now based in our FB fan group.  The colours for the June challenge are Ocean Blue, Green and Ripe Persimmon and/or you can go for the Anything Goes theme.  Link up your makes using the colours and/or anything goes using Ru...

Majo  here today and I'd like to welcome you to our inspiration blog. Today I have a tag for you, made with the awesome Crazy Flowers #2 and words from our new set "Mix a sentiment". I started by applying distress Oxides in Mustard Seed and Spun Sugar with water, after drying it thoroughly I applied more Distress Oxides, this time I also using Tumbled Glass , with different stencils. I stamped the flowers and stems on a piece of paper I had left over from a master board, fuzzy cut everything and took off some of the color with bleach. For the leaves I just used plain cardstock. I stamped the flowers again on a piece of cardstock, fuzzy cut and inked the edges with Tumbled Glass , just to give them some depth. After stamping my words I assembled everything on my tag using pop dots for 3D effect. I distressed all edges, added Jute rope and ready was my tag. Hi everyone, Saadia here: I want to share an art journal page with you. I hope you like it and get inspired. I made the background with Dylusions ink sprays and paints. Next, I did a little bit of background stamping with  Art defined stamp . I have used  Butterfly girl number 1 stamp  for my focal image. The sentiment 'Believe in Yourself' is from  Think again stamp set . That's all for now. Hello! I'm so excited to be here!  My name is Angie, I love mixed media, art journaling in particular, but also anything miniature, altered art, altered books, making cards, ATCs...you get the picture!  If it involves paper and paints I'm there. My biggest influences over the last few years have been Kate Crane, Tracy Scott and of course Susanne! For this post I decided to make an art journal page, so here goes. I started off by painting my background, using turquoise, green, pink and a little bit of white acrylic paint. I added some stencilling and mark making, using the same colours. Next some rubber stamping in black - I was once taught to use 3 different background stamps and group them together on different areas of the page and i think it works quite well. I added some patches of white paint and black paint, using my fingers. And some gold splatter! I don't  think I've done many pages without a little bit of gold splatter....

Hi everyone, I hope you are all having a crafty weekend. Today I'm sharing a tutorial with you that shows my step x step thinking for a mixed media card that I've made.  It's important, I think to show you what works and what doesn't, and how it can be changed. Here is the end result ... I am having so much fun with the Mix a Sentiment set of words! The best part is, if you need the same words again you just stamp them again! It is so easy.  Sometimes I think it is the simplest of things that makes life so much easier. Okay, grab your cuppa, and here we go ... Step 1:  I love this bit, you just pop some paint onto your craft sheet and start finger painting.  A layer of gesso was put onto the card first as it seems to bring out the colours in the paint a lot better. Using white acrylic paint I've added some paint through a stencil. Step 2:   It seemed pretty bright to me so I decided to add some gesso to tone the colour down. ...

Hi Everyone, Cornelia here today. That Moo to You set is just up my alley! You can also get the stamps separately and don't have to buy the entire set, if you just fall in love with one of the cows. Here is the entire set: From Moo to You And that's how I made this card: I stamped the cow and the sentiment. I took some sand paper and created graphite dust from a pencil   Took a stencil and sponged the graphite mostly around the cow. Took the stencil off. You can see that there is graphite dust on the cow, but that will easily come off with an eraser as you can see here. I like those knead-able erasers best for that. I then colored the cow with markers. Added Stickles to the cupcake and candles. Don't forget about our challenge, which goes until the end of the month. Play along, if you find time!
