Sarcastic Superpower ATCs by Angie Coomber

Image
Hello arty friends, how are you all doing? I haven't used my Sarcastic Superpower stamps for a while and I really love them, so I thought I'd use them for this blog post. I wanted to make some ATCs, so first I created 2 backgrounds with my Distress Oxides, one using warm tones and one using cool ones. I began by swiping the ink on my craft mat, spritzing with water and swiping the card through the ink. I used leaf stamps and the same colours I used for the background to add some stamping to the green page. I used Distress Crayons in similar shades to intensify the colours and add some mark making. Next I stamped flowers on the red background and cut them out. I cut the green card into ATC sized pieces, arranged the flowers o  the cards and then glued them down.  I chose a few Tim Holtz Photo Booth pictures and stamped some sentiments onto cream paper and cut them out. I enjoyed matching the quotes to the faces! I added them to the ATCs, and finished with a bit of shading...

Loose Art Journal page by Angie Coomber

Image
Hello arty friends, how is the new year treating you? I'm finding myself doing quite a lot of art journaling at the moment, just putting down my thoughts in these strange and sometimes tricky times. This time I have a loose art journal page to show you, I hope you like it. I started by glueing some bits and pieces of ephemera onto my page. Next I painted over this in one of my favourite colour combinations, pink, orange, turquoise and a little bit of white. I stamped my focal image on some tissue paper, tore the image out and glued it to the page using gel medium. I added some stencilling with the same colour paints, trying to incorporate the edges of the image into the background. Next I did a little background stamping and white stencilling, followed by some white paint which I applied with my fingers. Finally I added some black paint splatter, more background stamping, some punched hearts and a quote (one of my all time favourites!) Stay safe! Hugs from Angie x Stamps used: Bel...

"I'm not anti-social" Altered Book Page by Angie Coomber

Image
Hello creative friends! How are you all keeping? Angie here with an altered book page for you. I hope you like it. To begin with I added some bits and pieces of ephemera and washi tape to my book pages to add interest. I glued these down with gel medium, then added some texture paste through a stencil. When the pages were dry I painted them with the colours shown in the picture, then added some patches of white paint to tone the colours down a bit. I also used the same colours through a stencil. I left a fairly light patch on the right and stamped the girl's face from the "Believe in you" stamps set  on this. I added some patches of black paint, which makes the colours pop, white & gold splatter and white mark making, and used a purple distress crayon to create a darker background around the girl. Finally I stamped the quote from the "Sarcastic Superpower" stamp set onto a piece of card, glued it onto the page and a...

Sarcastic Hedgehog Card by Gail

Image
Hello Rubber Dance fans.  October is here and it's one of my favourite months of the year.  Along with December, cos that's Christmas of course.  And January, cos a new start is always exciting.  February is also pretty cool, can be wild, but it's short and there's all that love around!!  Oooohh, and don't forget April, that's my birthday month so nuff said.  And I quite like June and July and August too, cos we should be able to soak up the sun.  Hmmmmm sunshine......!!!!  OK, so I have a thing for a lot of months, but October always makes me think of crisp leaves, bright colours and blue skies on frosty days.  And hedgehogs.  Gotta think about the hedgehogs......... I actually made this card for the Card Chain Challenge , which is an international card exchange that I help administrate and also participate in.  I used the sketch and humor options and was also inspired by the Rubber Dance moodboard this month, hence the h...

KARMA has no deadline ► Majo

Image
Good morning, all! It's Majo here today to show you a tag stamped with one of the newest stamps in the shop , the grungy border. I have created this almost CAS tag with watercolors brushed on a piece of acrylic foil. I stamped the grungy border right on top, the sentiment on a piece of card stock which I matted as well as the whole tag with black card stock. Some rhinestones gave my tag a little sparkle.  ... and a little close up ... I have used the Grungy borders and a sentiment from the set Sarcastic Superpower . Happy Crafting ♥

Wise Giraffe ATC's

Image
Hello.  Gail from the design team here today with some inspiration for the current Rubber Dance colour challenge , Magenta, Yellow and Turquoise.  I decided to use one of my favourite Rubber Dance stamps, Giraffe , and play with some words.   I've used a Stamplorations stencil and Dreamweavers yellow embossing paste for the background, with Rubber Dance stamps Giraffe , and words from Mail Art and Sarcastic Superpower. I stamped and embossed the giraffe and words on self adhesive paper and fussy cut.  I added a black mat behind the words.   I decapitated the giraffe, ouch! so I could add her head at a different angle.  Hmmmmm, she knows!!  You know!!   Again I added the head at a different angle with words from Sarcastic Superpower.    Hope you enjoyed my little trio of giraffe wisdom.   Here's the challenge colour board I hope you get time to create and join the fun.  Re...

3 ATC's by Jorunn

Image
Hello everyone, my name is Jorunn Andreassen and I am from Stavanger in Norway. I live with my husband and best friend, I have two beautiful children and a pretty crazy cat called Anna. When I was asked to guest design for Rubber Dance, of course I said yes. What an honor! Unmounted stamps and I have not been best friends before, but I discovered that it does not matter whether the stamp is mounted or not - I have used these stamps without cushion and they work great! I started scrapping in 2010, but I was not bitten by the bug before the end of 2011. Now I can not imagine a life without being creative.  The first Design Team I joined was that of a Norwegian shop called Scrappiness.  In 2015 I started designing for Canvas Corp Brand, a fairly large company in USA. This journey has made a big dream come true: I will participate in CHA in 2017!  It just shows that we should never stop dreaming big, because suddenly it can happen! :) ...
