Image
Hi everyone! Mariken here, with a tutorial for you, making two cards and tags. I used :  Sketchy Birds , Textured Spring , Joy in a Jar ,  Pencil Marks #2 , Pencil Marks #5   I made a gelliprint, using some stamps. You can see it in the background.      With my print I made two cards and two tags. I stamped the birds and flowers with black ink and cut them out.  After that I stamped some marks and sentiments on the cards and tags. A finishing touch with some colorful ribbons and washi-tape. There you are, in a very simple way you've got two lovely cards and tags..     The stamps I used:  Sketchy Birds     Joy in a Jar   Textured Spring   Pencil Marks #2 Pencil Marks #5 A little reminder that our beautiful Inspiration Board March  continues in the  Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge  on Facebook. Sketchy Flowers Card with Farida

Image
Hello lovelies, Farida here. Nice to see you again here on the blog. Thanks for coming over. If you know me, you know that I love flowers and butterflies a lot. So I was pretty excited to get the new Sketchy Flowers #3 stamp set.  I started with inking a card sized white cardstock with my currently favourite colour combo in yellow and light pink. And use the oxide reaction by sprinkling some water over it.  For the next step I stamped some flowers from the Sketchy Flowers #3  stamp set with an alcohol friendly inkpad and used my Triblend Alcohol Markers to colour them in.  As I coloured in the stamps I got the idea to divide the background panel. So I grabbed rectangle die  out of my stash and some foam tape to glue it back a bit raised. Before glueing on the foam tape I decided to add some more interest to the panel. So I grabbed a Happy Birthday Sentiment and the little dots from the Joy in a Jar stamp set. Together with some violet embossing powder...

Thank You Card using Inky Flowers by Farida

Image
Hi you all, Farida here. I'm happy to be back again.  As it's not always possible to just pop in and give some flowers as a thank you to for example a good friend, I decided sending a stamped Thank you flower card using the Inky flowers stamp set .   I took my time colouring the flower and leaves with my alcohol markers and added some dimension and detail to them.     Afterward I just used my scissors and fussy cut the image leaving a narrow white border.  For the background I had an already foiled vellum piece, which I glued on some white cardstock.  Then I wrapped a natural cord around it and just tied a knot.      For some dimension I glued the big flower image down using some foam tape at the back.  Then glued some stamped and coloured buds directly on the vellum.  With the thank you sentiment from the Joy in a Jar stamp set I finished up my card.  Hopefully it brings some joy to...

Joy in a Jar gift box by Farida

Hello dear crafters!  Farida here.  I am so excited to introduce myself to this wonderful design team with my very first blog post today.  I made a little step by step photo tutorial showing you how I created this little pillow gift box.   I started with a piece of heavy cardstock, some distress oxides ink pads, a water mister and the pillow gift box die from my stash. I laid down some ink pad colour on my craft sheet, sprayed some water over it and smudged the cardstock over it. To get the result I am happy with I repeated the steps while drying the ink colour in between every repeat.   Now to the most fun part, stamping my decoration and focal point of the project – the jar full of flowers from the Joy in a Jar Stamp set .   B ecause I wanted to use some watercolour pen s, I stamped and heat embossed the images on watercolour paper, coloured and finally fussy cut them.     So, everything was ready prepared, now to just assemble th...
