Butterfly Art Journal Page by Angie Coomber

Image
Hello arty friends, I hope you're all well. Sometimes I really struggle to come up with my next idea so I go and sit in my art cabin (known as the "rabbit hole"), look at my supplies and usually something sparks an idea. I don't think I ever really "plan" anything - I just play. Trust in the process - isn't that what they say? Well something made me want to play with a circle today. I cut a template from a piece of card and used it to cut a circle out of a piece of scrapbook paper. I also marked where the circle would be on my journal page. I used Distress Oxides to colour the patterned paper a little. I did some clear-ish embossing in the blank area left for the circle (though this didn't show up very well). I adhered the patterned paper to my journal page. Next I stamped the butterfly onto a piece of paper that I'd coloured with Distress Oxides. I cut it out. the glued it down on one side of the circle with a piece of silver netting underneath...

Grungy Butterflies - Mixed Media Tags with Dunja

Image
Hello Rubber Dance Friends, I'm sharing a trio of Mixed Media Tags with you.  I created three tags from gel prints, it's easy as pie with a die-cut. I then worked on them with texture paste and a stencil.  Since I like butterflies, I used them twice here. Once as black and white and then as a gel print on acetate. I then sewed the butterflies onto the tags.  Dunja   ( Blog  |  Instagram  |  Facebook ) Grungy Butterflies Grungy Butterflies 2022 (Clear - 0013) Mixed Media Marks #2 Journal Words   Rubber Dance links: Website Facebook Pinterest Blog Instagram YouTube

Butterfly Collection by Angie Coomber

Hello arty friends,  How are you? Summer seems to have finally arrived in this part of the world so I thought I'd get the butterfly stamps out. I stamped a selection on watercolour paper, coloured them in with watercolour paints, which are my current obsession. I did some shading using pencils, then cut them out. Next I chose a piece of ledger paper. I added some background stamping and black splatter to give the page a vintage feel. I also mounted the ledger paper on a piece of grungy scrapbook paper to make it pop a little bit more. I stuck the butterflies onto the ledger paper and dabbed on some stickles. Then I added some black & gold mark making and finally the number and word stickers. Have a lovely weekend! Hugs from Angie x Stamps used: Inky friends Old book page

Mail Art Envelope by Angie Coomber

Image
Hi arty friends, it's me again! I have a quick mail art envelope for you today.  I had some watercolours to use up and decided to decorate a few envelopes. I love spending time painting simple leave shapes (very calming and relaxing) so that's the first thing I did. Once the leaves were dry I sketched over them with a fine black pen, then added some neon pink splatter. I n the spirit of using up things on my desk I stamped some of the Inky Friends on a few Gelli print scraps. For this I used embossing ink and black embossing powder. I cut out the butterflies and decoreated them with a gold gel pen. Finally I glued the butterflies around the edge of the envelope, leaving space for an address, and added a doodle border around the outside. Oh - and a little word sticker. Hope you like it! Grungy Butterfly

Hi, I'm Vero (@ Vero.kt) and I welcome you to today's inspiration Monda. How's everybody ?I've been playing with  Inky Friends ,  Mixed media marks   ,  Grungy Sequins  and   Grungy Stuff  to create a colorful  Atc´s   that I hope you like. Very easy to do, we started. We cut watercolor paper to a size of 2.5 x 3.5 inches. In my case, the paper is smooth and hot pressed, and I color the backgrounds with inks. When the backgrounds dries (we can speed up the process with a heat gun) we're going to add texture and depth with permanent black ink, and with oxide inks here and there. Later, I emboss in white, choose one of the stamps from the set  Grungy Sequins . I choose one of the stamps from the Inky Friends set, stamp it, color it with watercolor pencils, then cut it out and integrate it into the composition. One of the parts that I enjoy the most is the composition, I have to admit that it is usually the part that takes me th...

Hello Rubber Dance Friends, it's me again, Dunja and i'm sharing a TAG with you today.  The Background is made of gelliprint, i cut out the TAG with a cutting die. I hope you like the TAG :) Can't wait to see your creations in our Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge , did you joined us already? Stay safe and crafty till next time Dunja xx

Golden Inky Friends ATCs by Dunja

Image
Hello, everyone, it's Dunja here and today I have two ATCs for you.  They are rather plain and bit noble, right? The background is a Leftover of a gel print and the wonderful butterflies from the Inky Friends Stampset I embossed gold on vellum.  For the background I used Spellbinder's stencils (circles) and applied them with the foiling machine. The Sentiments are from the Mix A Sentiment #1 Stamps Set, just stamped black on white cardpaper. I like ATC so much, it is always a challenge to create something on such a small size.  Don't forget to stop by the Rubber Dance Lounge . The new challenge is online and we are looking forward to your contribution. Did you know that you can win something? :) See you soon, stay cheerful, healthy and creative, enjoy the summer,  Dunja xx
