The Adorable Guinea Pig Journal Page by Priss

Image
I'm  Priss  and welcome you to today's inspiration with the cutest stamps by Rubber Dance. You will find more interesting inspirations with the  Guinea Pig  set here . And with the  Night & Day Big  set here , here , and here . This time I created another page for my Rubber Dance Stamps Squared Art Journal. For the background, I used Distress Oxide Inks inspired by the colors of our October Mood Board (Yellow, Orange, and Storm blue). Then I sprayed some water to lift the colors.  To make it more interesting I stamped some marks, with the mini rainbows of the  Carved Collection 1  set, and some black inked borders with the  Mixed Media Borders  set.  As usual, I did some splashes for the finishing touch. This time I used Oxide Inks with similar colors and finally my special mix of white. After that, I applied other markings with a leaf stencil and brown ink. I didn't take a shot of that part, but I'll leave y...

New Year, New Goals by Priss

Image
Hello and Happy New Year to all!!! Are you one of those who close the old year reviewing the purposes completed and opening the new year by setting new goals to achieve?  I do. Usually, I like to capture them in my Bullet Journal. However, this year I have decided to make a mini book where I can write "My Goals for 2022", so I can have it closer to hand, near my bed, and put the focus and all my energy on getting them. If you like the idea and want to make yours, it is very easy. Keep reading and I'll tell you. You only need to cut a 12x2.5 inches strip of lightweight cardstock. We are going to create a background only on one side of the cardstock.  You can paint it with your favorite materials (use the colors that you like the most), or glue scrapbook paper, rice paper or cover it with your Gelli Print stamped papers (that's my case). Do what you like the most. Feel free to make your background however you like. I also use white texture paste and a stencil with snowf...

Journal Page with Happy Place with Video by Priss

Image
Hi Rubber friends!!!  Priss here. Today I'm sharing some inspiration with you using one of my brand new stamps!  I've always been in love with the Happy Place and Night  &  Day Big sets .  Finally, I got them.  YAY!!!! For the background, I used the emboss resist technique with stamps from the new Mandalas set. I used superfine white embossing powder to ensure the best-stamped definition. Then I painted over my page with the Distress Oxide inks. I used blue, lilac, rose, and yellow colours to make a sunset gradient.  Now is the time to relax by colouring the stamps of the Happy Place set. I stamped them on watercolour paper. I chose fine-grained because I love the texture created when I paint with Distress Oxide as a watercolour. And finally, it's time to compose the whole scene. I used the two gorgeous houses with trees and put them as a town street. I used the clouds and the stamp with the moon and the sun of the set " Night & Day Bi...

Altered Book Page by Angie Coomber

Image
Hello arty friends, Angie here and today I have an altered book page for you.  I would normally work in the actually book, but I pulled a page out this time to make it easier to photograph for this tutorial. I coloured the page by swiping Distress Oxide on my craft mat, spritzing with water and then mopping up with the book page. I stamped/embossed the moon from the Night & Day set on a piece of gelli print and cut it out, Then stamped the girl from the What a girl wants set and coloured her in with water colours. Next I gold embossed some stars on the book page. I glued all the elements to the page, adding some punched out stars and washi tape.  Finally I added some shading and doodling. Now I just have to glue it all back into my book! Until next time! Hugs from Angie x Stamps used: What a girl wants Night & Day
