Rubber Dance is Moving to Germany!

Dear friends and fans of Rubber Dance,

It's Bibi here (the stamp maker and owner of Rubber Dance) to share some good news and bad news. The bad news is that I have so many health issues that I am no longer able to run this stamp company, but the good news is that my very dear friend Susanne Rose in Germany is taking over!

Susanne has been with me since the very beginning of Rubber Dance, first as a monthly Guest Designer before joining the regular Design Team. She has also designed many of the Rubber Dance stamps, such as the bestseller sheet 'Textured Flowers, and the very adorable 'Playful Penguins' and 'Whale Wishes'. Susanne has been my DT & Social Media Manager for the past two years, so my stepping down and passing the torch over to Susanne won't change much, everything will continue like before - just better! Even if it has been difficult for me to come to the realisation that I can no longer run this stamp company, knowing that Susanne will take over makes it a lot easier. I know she will do a wonderful job and that Rubber Dance will be in very good hands.

Thank you everyone for being part of my life for the past years. It has been a wonderful journey and I have enjoyed the ride. One of the things I have enjoyed the most during these years has been seeing all the wonderful, amazing artwork that everyone has made with my stamps. Seeing your challenge entries, blog posts, hundreds of video tutorials, and all the articles in many stamp magazines around the world has been such fun and I have learnt so much from seeing how other people have used my stamps! I am very grateful for this and for all the wonderful and creative people I've met online, and the lovely friends I have made for life.

So, what will I do now? I do not know yet, maybe I will go back to writing and finish my three novels - you know the bestsellers you are all waiting for, ha ha, or maybe I will write music, or perhaps I'll breed pink elephants - only the lack of imagination can stop me, right? What I will do first is enjoying my "retirement" (at only 52) and spend much more time with friends and family.

Please note that the web shop will remain closed until Susanne has everything set up and ready to go. I live in Norway and I've just started shipping all the stamp moulds and other equipment to Susanne in Germany. Until she re-opens, you may order our stamps from one of our many retailers (see this page).

Thank you.

Stay beautiful.

I’m up for ordering the pink elephants lol. Seriously now it has been a pleasure working with you and I want to publicly thank you for believing in me and giving me the opportunity to design stamps for you. You helped me to build my confidence when I was all out, and realise a dream. From the bottom of my heart I thank you. I wish you great happiness in your retirement and look forward to those books. Sorry you've had to come to this decision, hope the "retirement" will reduce pressure and allow an improvement in health. You are so lucky though to have the imagination carry on in your stamps round the world, and to have someone take over your legacy.

Saddened to hear those news Bibi, I didn't realise you were so ill and I understand how tough a decision handing Rubber Dance must be. At least it stays in the family... I hope you will not retire just yet and engage in new adventures in the near future, being literary or else and maybe, just maybe something crafty!
To cheer you up I'll share a piece of news, I have a card featuring stamps from Weed Love and Winter Wonderland which will be published in February Craft Stamper. Thinking of you, C.
