Come fly with me - a summer tag with nostalic batik
Hello and welcome, Anita from the Design Team here today to show you a tag I've made with a pretty cool technique.
I have to admit that I'm very very ready for vacation now so I feel that everything I'm doing now has something to do with summer and holiday. Come fly with me on a summer holiday 😃 But it really fits well as it is the theme of the month's Challenge.
When the iron is burning hot iron the tag with the newsprint over and below, as showed on the picture above. The embossing powder is sinking back in the tag. It is not raised as a traditional embossing. This is brilliant technique because you can stamp on top of the embossing.
This is so cool and such a bright colours. You even get a cool print on the newsprint that you may use in another project.
I inked some cardstock with Distress Ink Mustard Seed and stamped "Come fly With me". Here I also used Distress Ink around the edges and glued it down with glue pads.
Some close up for details:
I wish you a lovely and creative day. Thank you for visiting.
Hugs, Anita

Here is a step by step how I did this tag:
I started by stamping and embossing all over my tag with the Grungy swirls stamp, Distress Ink in colour pomice stone and clear embossing powder
Then I heatset it
And coloured it with Distress Ink in colours Mustard Seed, Mowed Lavn and Salty Ocean. The embossing is a resist for Distress ink.
And now to the cool technique; Take two sheets of newsprint paper, one over and one underneath, heat up your iron (not steam)

Now I stamped these beautiful bees on my tag with black Archival ink. And around the edges I used Distress Ink Black Soot, to frame it.
