First Day Cover with Artist Plate Stamps
Hi Susan here and welcome to the international blog. What you see is two very simple First Day Covers that you can use as an idea for a gift envelope for a confirmation. My inspiration is stamps, which have always been my great interest in terms of visuals, and I think it's great that artists can get all the information into so little space.
I have stamped with Artist Plate stamps on tissue paper. With Tim Holtz postage dots thinlits die I made stamp perforation in white paper, where the stamped image was cut and glued on with decopage glue. When it was dry, I used my brusho watercolors. I got the lines outlined with green and orange Sharpie pens. To mimic stamps I rubbed small numbers from Tim Holtz rubons sheet on. My postage stamp sheet was put on the envelopes after I had stamped the palette on the right side of the envelope. And voila the envelope got a little postage stamp from Envelope Stamps. I hope, I have inspired you.
I have used the stamp sets Artist Plate and Envelope Stamps.
Brusho colors, tissue paper, sharpie pens, Archival ink jet black and Hero arts wet cement ink.
16x11,5 cm white envelope.
You can still take part in the challenge, come on and play with.
