That doesn't mean we haven't been creative as well ... Cover Girl - Craft Stamper Magazine!

Image
Hello everyone! Bibi here today, just popping in to toot my own horn! ;-) I knew that I would have a 4 pages article in the Feb. issue of Craft Stamper magazine, but I had no idea that one of my whimsical houses - featuring Rubber Dance's Textured Houses and Textured Flowers - would make the cover! Yooohooo! *happy dancing* The DIGITAL version of this issue is already available here:  https://pocketmags.com/eu/craft-stamper-magazine   and the printed issue will soon be available, too. I couldn't wait for my copy, so I bought the digital one and I was delighted to see that there also were two readers' submissions with our stamps, a card by Majo in Germany (page 54) and one by Susan in Denmark (page 56). Congrats to you both, and thank you so much for submitting your beautiful cards with our stamps!! ♥ Craft Stamper has long been my #1 fave print magazine and every monthly issue is packed full of awesome articles, tutorials, and readers' submissions.  I ...

Mini Folder ATC size

Image
Hi Susan from the DT here.  I hope you all have a good Christmas, and get all your Christmas wishes fulfilled.  I was inspired by Rubber Dance's Textured Houses to make a mini folder in ATC size. I started by sticking Tim Holtz tissue wrap on as background.  Then it all got a layer of white gesso.  I stamped the houses and the stars, which were embossed with gold powder.  With distress ink and crayons I coloured the sky and the street.  The houses are highlighted with Prismacolor. I have used: Textured Houses , Beautiful Words , Watercolor Xmas , Pines Fir Yew , A Little Birdie and Frosty Friends , eyelet, TH tissue wrap, Prismacolor, Embossing powder gold, Archival Ink jet black, TH distress crayons, red thread. The same procedure for the back of the booklet. Here the houses are also used for some to/from cards. Thanks for visiting the blog, and I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Hugs, Susan You ca...

Quick and Easy Christmas Card and Tag

Image
Hello.  Welcome.  Gail from the design team here today with a simple card and tag.  It's always great to have a card you can easily make when time is short.  I used Mr Frosty and one of the small snow stamps from Watercolour Xmas and made a simple winter wonderland. I stamped the background with Stormy Sky distress ink and the snow stamp.  I stamped Mr Frosty on a piece of white card and fussy cut him.  I could have stamped and masked him, for a one layer card, but I like how the extra layer makes him stand out from the background. Quick and easy, so I made a matching tag. The sentiments are from Norwegian Christmas .  The card says wishing you a lovely christmas.  The tag says don't open before christmas eve, which is when we open our presents here in Norway LOL.  This is my last post this year here at the Rubber Dance blog so I would like to take this opportunity to wish you a very Happy Christmas and hope to see you ...

Christmas card

Image
Hello crafters, this is Craftyfield guesting again with what I hope is a funny card. First let me tell you about the stamp set I used, the Textured Feathers . As soon as I received it, I had a play... It's a good thing to do in order to familiarise yourself with the stamps and find what it can do. Here's the lowdown on what I found: there are 3 sizes of feathers and  the largest 2 sizes come in 3 styles : a solid feather, an outline and a textured feather.  the textured feather is effectively a mirror shape of the other 2.  the smallest size has a solid and outline image and they mirror each other. Mixing and matching the styles you can create feathers with a different look and on my card I mainly used the solid feathers for a soft look, but chose to add the outline to the foreground feather. What can you do with the stand alone feather? Of course you can stamp it on its own, and colour it with your medium of choice, but I was really excited to discover that ...

Winter Wonderland - Mixed Media Canvas by Susanne

Image
Good Morning everyone. First of all I (Susanne) want to wish you all a wonderful Christmas time!  I hope you are all feeling well and enjoying time with your family and friends.  I created a mixed media canvas after I made this art journal page.  I loved it so much, that I wanted it hanging in the kitchen. Here is the canvas.  I stamped the Textured Houses on white cardstock and drew them 3-dimensional.  As they where a little too small for my 30cm x 40xm canvas, I scanned the houses in high resolution and printed them bigger.  They are colored with KOH-I-NOOR Polycolor pencils.  You will find a process video when you scroll down. Enjoy the video! Thank you for stopping by today! xx Susanne. Rubber Dance Stamps: Textured Houses
