WILD AND FREE

Hi friends!! Josi Tomàs  (@elbauldegiulietta)   greets you again and today I want to show you a new tutorial. This time I try to do something different. That's why I combined two beautiful stamps to create an illustration.   First, I will to tell you that I did an embossing with transparent powder and then I colored with Distress Oxide. I have used the rhombus of Pencil Marks 3 Second, I have used another rhombus but in this case small, Grungy Harlequin and what I did was stamped it over each color using the same tone. This way the background stands out. Then it was time the color black and I used it for the Lion and Old book Page I'll tell you a secret...I also stamped the lion on a separate piece of paper and cut it out. Then I put it on top of the project so that stamping the letters would not affect the lion.   The final touch I was made with two hearts in two colors with embossing and clear powder, a sentiment and a die that unites them. In the corner...

ATCs with Sketchy Flowers by Priss

Image
Hello,  I'm Priss and I welcome you to today's tutorial for ATCs with the unique flowers of the set  Sketchy Flowers 1 .  These ATCs are easy and quick to make. You'll see. First, I cut a piece of Kraft cardstock to the size of 5 by 3 1/2 inches.  For the background, I used a wooden shaped embossing folder. Before placing the Kraft paper, I painted the inside of the folder with dark brown distress ink, making sure that it is in the part where the veins will be deepest. I then moistened the paper a bit before placing it in the binder and running it through the machine. As soon as it was embossed and dry, I applied cream colored distress ink over the wood grain that is sticking out. The next step is to cut the paper in half to get two 3 1/2 by 2 1/2 inch ATCs. On the other hand, I took an old book page and stamped on it with black ink some of the wonderful stamps from the  Mixed Media Borders  set. I fill in the empty spaces on the stamps with my white gel pe...

Floral ATCs by Angie Coomber

Image
Hello arty friends, I hope you’re all enjoying the summer. Today I have some floral ATCs for you, I hope you like them. I started by stamping some of the Sketchy Flowers # 3 stamps onto watercolour paper. I used a Derwent watercolour set to colour these in, using red/orange tones for one set and purple tones for the other one. I used water soluble pencils in matching colours to add some shading, then cut them out. Next I cut some ATCs from papers that matched the colours of my flowers, and slightly smaller pieces from book pages. I spent some time arranging the flowers on the book pages and glued them down once I was happy with the layout. I glued the book pages onto the ATCs and then decided that there was something missing, so I used the border stamps to darken the edges a little. Until next time, Hugs from Angie x Stamps used: Sketchy Flowers # 3 Mixed Media Borders
