Make your mark by Lisa

Image
Hi friends! Lisa today to share with you my new art journal inspiration playing with Rubber Dance stamps! To start I brushed my page with white gesso. Then I used my favorite watercolors to create a rainbow effect. I let it dry very well and I spatulated a little bit of white gesso here and there to create more interest into my background. I used Mixed Media Marks stamp set with archival inks. I took Inky Friends stamp set and I stamped a large butterfly on a White cardstock. I created my sentiment that I stamped on a black cardstock and I embossed with white powder.  Finally I made splatters with gold liquid paint. I used these products from the shop:  https://www.rubberdance.de/big-sheets/mixed-media-marks/#cc-m-product-14348286233 https://www.rubberdance.de/big-sheets/inky-friends/#cc-m-product-14383086833 I hope you enjoyed my art journal inspiration for today! Hugs,  Lisa

Watercolor Butterfly Happiness.. by Ellie Knol

Creating backgrounds with watercolors on watercolor paper is so much fun. Especially when the watercolors granulate a little.  When wet, place some household foil on top of the wet color, and leave to dry. It creates some unexpected texture.  Stamping adds to it all. Choose a stamping ink that will complement the background color.  Fussycut an image to be the focal point as shown.  I really hope you got inspired to get creative.    Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop  Grungy Butterflies Mixed Media Marks Vintage Script

Thinking Of You by Dot Leathbridge

Hi everyone, Thanks so much for stopping by. Today I've got a card tutorial for you using Da Vinci Woman #1, Weed Love, Doodle Borders #2, Round In Circles  and Beautiful Words. The Da Vinci group of stamps have long been a favourite of mine. There is just something so relaxing about them. Maybe it's because they are classics. Here we go! I've been following Susanne's YouTube ideas and had a go at one of these ideas by using stamps on a gel plate. Then I added some white patches to the edges to cover  some parts that I wasn't liking so much. Using pink paint, I then stamped some Weed Love around the edges. This started looking quite feminine which helped me choose my stamps. Da Vinci Woman #1 I wanted a soft image, nothing too heavy, so that it would fit in with the background. An older black ink pad came in handy, knowing that it would come out more of a grey colour instead. So far so good. I made a rough mask of the woman, placed it over the stamped image and t...

Atc´s Doodle Flowers

Image
Hi, I'm Vero (@ Vero.kt) and I welcome you to today's inspiration Martes. How's everybody ? I've been playing with   Doodle Flowers ,  Mixed media marks  , and  Grungy Stuff  to create a colorful Atc´s , that I hope you like. Very easy to do, we started. We cut watercolor paper to a size of  2.5 x 3.5 inches. In my case, the paper is smooth and hot pressed, and I color the backgrounds with  pigments. When the backgrounds dry (we can speed up the process with a heat gun) we will add texture and depth with different inks, in my case I have used  distress oxide. To start, I choose a stamp from the  Mixed media marks  , apply the inks, spray water, and stamp, (I'm not looking for definition, I'm looking for a watercolor effect, watery). I help myself with the dryer and go back to stamp with different inks, to continue adding depth and texture. Finally, to integrate the different prints into the backgrund with a splash in white.  I choose...

Colorful cards with Textured Birds by Mariken

Image
Hi everyone,    Mariken here, with a tutorial for you, making these two cards with the Textured Birds .  I also used the borders from Stitched & Frame . You know, I love making little cards!! I  made a simple background with acrylic paint and my gelliplate.  The blacks dots I sponged with black acrylic paint and a stencil. For the birds I made a background with watercolors. I cutted out my Textured Birds and glued them on the background. With white powder I embossed the borders. At last some white lines with a poscamarker around the black circles. There you are, two little happy cards! The stamps I used: Textured Birds   Stitched & Frame .   That's it for now!  And at last a little reminder that our beautiful Mood Board January  continues in the  Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge  on Facebook. We hope to see you there.    Thank you for your visit here!  Mariken
