Keep calm - Art journal Page by Farida

Image
Hello lovlies, I am happy to be here again with a new art journal page, again with a cat theme....I just can't get my hands off this cute stamp set . Just loooove cats. I have this little mini art journal where I sometimes prepare pages. So if I have some intresting scraps or letovers I do prepare some pages, like  I have done this double page in the past.  So my next step is to bring in some colours. Here I used some greens from my Oxide Ink pad and from a watercolour pen.  While the background is drying I took out a scrap piese of paper, to use up the rest colour taht was left. And also added the Burlap stamp on it.  Next I stamped, coloured and fuzzy cutted the sitting cat. As I didn't leave a white border around it, I stamped the cat on the burlap-piece of paper, so it gets back all its whiskers.  To get my art journal page together I glued down the "burlap-piece" and the cat. To give the cat a ground to sit on, I used some washi-tape stripes.  F...

Catlover's birthday card - by Farida

Image
Hello lovlies, hope you are doing fine? I am a cat loving person and so is my cosuin. So for sure I needed this new and amazing Cat Stamp Set .  As my cousin has two black cats, so I used some watercolours to colour in the stamped cats. The background is made by blending in two pinkish coloured ink pads. To give more intrest to the background I used the burlap stamp on the edges and added some hearts from the Mixed Media Marks Stamp set . Fot the sentiment I used some dies in my stash. And because I didn't want to cover up the whole background I just die cutted the "BDay" into the paper and glued back the alphas.  Thank you for stopping by. I wish you all a very happy day. Friends Fur-ever Artist Trading Cards by Gail

Image
Hello Rubber Dance friends.  I hope you are having a wonderful Sunday.  Gail here and I have been playing with the oh so cute Friends Fur-ever set and made some mixed media Artist Trading Cards. I used a That's Crafty! stencil and Broken China distress ink on a sheet of card. Then I bumped the stencil and used Chipped Sapphire distress ink.  I stamped with black archival and the Marble stamp through the stencil to add texture. I cut the ATC's using a die and stamped with Burlap stamp and white ink.  I used the stamp off-block so I could just add some random textured stripes.  I stamped the dogs from Friends Fur-ever three times, coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut them. I stamped and embossed a variety of sentiments, cut them out and added them and the dogs to the ATC bases.   Hope you like my project.  There is still time to join the monthly challenge in our facebook group You can use the...

Walking in a Winter Wonderland - Card and Tutorial by Majo

Image
Hello, my crafty friends, I'm here today to show you a card made for this beautiful season. I started with white cardstock, die cut snowflakes, Gesso, Napkin Varnish and Distress Spray Stain *Picket Fence* and *Stormy Sky*. I used the varnish to glue the snowflakes to the card and applied some gesso to make the surface a little smoother. I sprayed with Distress Stains.  To give it a more frosty look I added embossing powder, but brushed most of it off again, I wanted just a bit of shimmer, I show you a close up .... I stamped my sentiment on vellum and heat embossed it. The Poinsettias were cut from burlap, I added a little button and some twine to finish my "frosty" card. Have a wonderful time and I hope you find enough time to craft!   Stamp set from Rubber Dance: Winter Wonderland www.rubberdance.com Don't forget about the 15% discount code you'll get on your next order in the Rubber Dance Online Store using " majo2015 "
