“Home is not a Place” by Angie Coomber

Image
Hello arty friends, How are you? I have been playing with my set of Happy Place stamps lately and here’s what I made for you. First I stamped my house onto some watercolour paper.  I coloured the image in using watercolours. Next I added some shading using water soluble pencils and a water brush, then cut out the image. I used a background stamp on a piece of gelli print,  cut it out and glued this and the coloured image onto a vintage book page. I embossed a quote at the bottom of the book page, then cut the page into a smaller rectangle and matted it onto a piece of red card. I also used a paper punch to create some hearts from the same piece of card and glued them onto the card.  Finally I glued the whole thing onto a white card. I hope you like it! Until next time, hugs from Angie x Stamps used: Happy Place Pencil Marks #1

Home is where the heart is by Priss

Hello, my friends,  Priss  (@artful.layers) here. Welcome to a fun tutorial. Today I show you how I made this Journal Page for my Rubber Dance "Squared" Art Journal using the super cute  Happy Place  stamps set. You can find another page with this stamp here .  I first stamped two Mandalas with gold embossing powder and then applied some black and gray pigments here and there. I also put more emphasis on the center of the mandalas, so that they were much darker and the gold of the mandalas stood out much more. On a piece of mixed media paper, I used the emboss resist technique with a stamp from the Mixed Media Marks #3 set.  I use embossing ink and superfine translucent powders. I spread my favorite pigments of this beautiful shade of pink with little orange dots. I then stamped some marks and mandalas with pink permanent ink and punched out a big heart with a die cut. Going back to my journal page, I stamped more marks on the background, ju...

Grungy Stuff and Christmas !? by Ellie Knol

Image
Ellie here today..  this is a style I don't do often. The star and the circle gave me an idea: creating a christmas card with non-christmas stamps. The background was created with a roll-off of a brayer with Fresco Finish paints and infusions while gelliprinting. It took me quite some time to figure out the composition and also the placement of the colored stamped images.  In the end it took six stamp sets to finish the collage of stamped images.  I especially like the look of the faux-tissue tape, and the blue of the background peeping through. .  Have a good day!  Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop Grungy Stuff Mixed Media Marks Mixed Media Marks #2 Pick A Number Retro Beach Happy Place
