Lollipop Trees and Grungy Stuff

Image
Hello sweet Rubber Dance friends. My name is Ingunn and I am proud and honoured to be the Guest Designer for November.  Thank you so much to Susanne and the Team for having me!  Even before I started stamping I found this blog and totally fell in love with the stamps, and the people here. The quirky, fun creativity, the inspiration, and kindness is unbelievable :) So here are 2 cards with the colors for this month. I decided to use my beloved 'lollipop' tree from the Carved Whimsy Wood set as the focal point. I used stamps from  Grungy Stuff and Mix A Sentiment 2 on the background. splattered with the paint I used o...

I'm a mixed media artist and proud to be the August Rubber Dance guest designer.   Today I made a 5 x 5 cm wrapped canvas as a gift to put into happy mail using the Grungy Butterflies stamp set   First I glued down tissue paper and a punched black cardboard circle.      I coloured the tissue with blue and sand watercolour and stamped a butterfly on mixed media paper.      I used a leaf primer pen randomly on the wings to put some gold leaf on them.     After swiping the excess gold leaf away with a soft brush I cut the butterfly out and glued it loosely onto the black circle, because I don't want it to be totally flat. I gave the wings a little bow up with my fingers for 3D effect and coloured it with watercolour.  I stamped the quote on wrinkled packing paper (to bring more sand colour in) and glued i...

Good morning and good Sunday, we are soon in December, but I don't have a Christmas card to show off.  I will celebrate Bibi, and create a birthday card to honor her. I've used the colors from the monthly challenge.  I have assumed that it is the favorite colors for Bibi and since we celebrate her big day (29 years, right) You can participate in the challenge, just follow the link here Many congratulations on your birthday dear Bibi, it has been an honor to be allowed to be celebrating you.  I just have to say that I really love your stamps, and that you would ask me to show how one can play around and have fun with your stamps, it's a great honor. I hope you have a lovely birthday and that some of your wishes are fulfilled. I wish I could give you this so that I could have come to visit and we could drink some good wine under the palm tree I've made a video tutorial so that you can make this card. You'll find it at the bottom ...
