Sealed With A Fish - A Set of Cards
Hello. Gail from the design team here today with some fishy inspiration using the colours of the current Rubber Dance challenge.
The current Rubber Dance challenge colours are blue, sea green and sand
I made a folder from a piece of patterned paper and used Sizzix circle dies and Cheery Lynn Tiny Bubble border to make my port hole. I cut the port hole from gold card and backed it with a piece of acetate. I used successive dies to cut a series of rings and placed the around the folder.
I stamped two fish from Something Fishy and coloured with distress inks. I stamped the greeting from Giraffe and cut it to make a little speech bubble. Then I added some iridescent glitter glue to the 'water'. It's a folder, so it should have something inside?
Ooh look!! Fishy cards!!! Here's how I made the cards......
I stamped a fish
I masked the fish and used distress inks, Old Paper and Scattered Straw for the sand and Salty Ocean for the ocean LOL. I have just used the ink pads and touched them to the card in an artistic sort of way.
I coloured the fish with Evergreen Bough distress ink, stamped the Happy Birthday sentiment and added some iridescent glitter glue to the fish and the sand. I really like this type of glitter glue because it looks different depending on the colours you add it to, so on the sand it looks golden but on the fish it takes on a green hue.
Two fish and the sentiment from Giraffe
Another fish and sentiment from Funny Birthday
This fish is keeping quiet.....
