Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge
Hi everyone! It's Bibi here today (owner of Rubber Dance) to let you know that I'm sponsoring this week's challenge over at Crafty Hazelnut's Christmas Challenge.
Too early for Christmas, you say? That's true, but I want to have a pile of cards ready when the time comes and what better way to make that happen than to join the Christmas challenges (I know I need that nudge!). Hazel has a new challenge every Saturday, all year 'round.
Today's challenge is to use gold - a little or a lot, and this is the card I made:
If you have ever tried to take photos of gold cardstock, you know how tricky it can be! I tested from different angels and with different light. This one was shot outdoors and even if I tilted the card to better catch the light, you can still see the shadow in the middle there... which is my camera. Oh, well - you get the idea: Gold panel in the back behind he pressies and the swirls cut out from the same gold cardstock. The swirls is a die from Tim Holtz/Sizzix, called Elegant Flourishes.
I also gold embossed the text, which is a stamp from my set "Christmas Greetings":
The wrapped present stamp is one that Susanne Rose on my Design Team drew for Rubber Dance.
It's from the set "Cozy Christmas".
I stamped the three presents on the same cardstock, then coloured them in with Inktense watercolour pencils. Notice how the cardstock with the tiny stars shines through here and there. The same cardstock was used behind the pressies:
So, there you have it. My contribution to today's challenge at Crafty Hazelnut's,
- and another Christmas card added to my growing pile :-)
Now it's your turn! Go over to Hazel's blog and join her challenge:
