Kitty Christmas by Samantha Read

Image
Hello, Samantha here today and I'm sharing with you a page I made for my art journal which was inspired by my cat, Tom, who used to love playing with the baubles on the Christmas tree each year. He would always knock off the red baubles first! It was a fun page to make, for the background I used distress inks, lustre sprays and the Pines Fir Yew stamp set to make my tree. I then used Purr-fect! and Textured Christmas Green stamp sets to decorate my bauble. I made the bauble by die cutting a circle, painting and adding the fixture and string at the top. The fixture is simply cut from white card also and painted gold. To finish I added some string and some glossy accents to the holly berries. I really wanted to add glossy accents to the whole of the bauble but guessed I would run out lol. I do hope you like it, thanks so much for looking. Wishing you a lovely day, Samantha :) The stamps I used are: Purr-fect!  Pines Fir Yew and Textured Christmas Green

Artsy Textured Flower Cards by Ellie Knol

Image
For todays' cards I, Ellie, chose to work in a bit of a CAS style as the background matched these stamps so beautifully, and as far as I am concerned, any extra color would distract from the beauty of the stamps.    The steps are not too difficult:  Start out by stamping the flowers and leaves you think you might want to use onto white cardstock and fussy cut them.  Stamp the flower images onto a background. This background is a cleanup page of paints off the brayer used while monoprinting/gelliprinting.  I was not sure whether I would use the fussycut images, but could lay them onto the background to choose whether I wanted to have a white flower, or the stamped-onto-the-colorful-background version.  To make it pop, I decided to adhere two fussy cut flowers, and leave the other one with just the stamping on the background.  The second card started out the same as the first one.  Adhere part of the background of both cards around the folded edge t...

Two cards with Textured Flowers by Mariken

Image
Hi everyone,  Mariken here, with a description how to make these two cards.   For this time I used the stamps Textured Flowers, Beautiful Words and  Stitch & Frame.   For the background I used my gelliplate.  It's a very simple print with light blue and white acrylic paint.  Love the light blue and the bright colors! With a stencil and ink I made some mandala's on the background  with pink, orange and green.    For the flowers I used Dylusion sprays.   When they are dry I stamped the Textured Flowers with black in,  cutted them out and glued them on the cards.  Finally I stamped the sentiments and the stitches on the cards.       The stampes I used:   Textured Flowers   Beautiful Words     Stitch & Frame   That's it for this time!  And at last a little reminder that our Mood Board Challenge November  continues in the Rubber Dance Stamping...

Hi Everyone, I want to share an art journal spread with you. Atc´s Textured Flowers

Image
H ello and welcome to today's inspiration Friday. How is everyone? I enjoy and have a lot of fun  colorful Atc´s. I hope you like them. I have been playing with Rubber Dance's   Mixed media marks  ,   Grungy Sequins   ,   Collage Elemnts  and   Textured Flowers Very easy to do, we started. We cut watercolor paper to a size of 2.5 x 3.5 inches. In my case, the paper is smooth and hot pressed, and I color the backgrounds with inks. When the backgrounds dries (we can speed up the process with a heat gun) we're going to add texture and depth with permanent black ink, and with oxide inks here and there. Later, I emboss in white, choose one of the stamps from the set  Mixed media marks .  To add depth and highlight the background, a sewing machine stitch. I choose one of the stamps from the Textured Flowers set, stamp it on a book sheet and then cut it out and integrate it into the composition. Now I leave you some photos with details of the p...
