Leaves Collage art journal page by Ellie Knol

Image
Today another page in my gelliprinted-pages-journal.  The HOW-to: - Gather fussy-cut images to fit the background: - Decide on the composition, just roughly. I changed it a little in the end: - Stamp in the background with a coordinating color; I chose red:   - Stamp in the background with the same ink the fussycut images were stamped with; in my case Archival Ink Plum: - Add white doodling and edges with a white acrylic marker. I used Posca.      - Adhere the focal images and sentiment to the page:  **** Another page and stamp set done in the journal.  See you next time,  Ellie   Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop Sketchy Leaves (Clear - 0003) Pencil Marks # 4 Sketchy Flowers #1 Grungy Stuff Pick A Number

Spring cards with Crazy Flowers #1 by Mariken

Image
Hi everyone! Mariken here, with a tutorial for you, making two spring cards. I love the bright colors! I used :  Crazy Flowers #1 , Pick A Number , Mandalas and  Pencil Marks #2 I  made a some backgrounds with my gelliplate. For the first layer I used acrylic paint and Mandala stamps. For my cards I wanted three colors so I cut the print into strokes...  and glued them on the white cards.      Finally I made marks with white embossing powder  using the stamps Pick A Number.    I stamped the Crazy Flowers on a left-over paper and cut them out.   I stamped some dots on my cards with stamps from Pencil Marks #2.. With a acrylic marker I made some circles around the black dots.   Below you can see my finished Spring cards. The stamps I used: Crazy Flowers #1   Pick A Number   Mandalas     Pencil Marks #2 A little reminder that our beautiful Inspiration Board March  continues in the  Rubber Dance...

Bird Ready For Spring Journal page by Ellie Knol

Image
The birds are in our gardens; looking forward to spring... I am too!   Playing with color and stamps in a journal makes for joyful time spent..  The picture above is where the coloring of the stamped and fussy cut images still has to be done! The background is a playful one with Neocolor II crayons...  How?  Scribble Neocolors II onto the page, spread the colour by wetting it with water-diluted gesso. Try to do each color with a fresh load of gesso as it will turn muddy otherwise. For interest, add pure gesso in a few spots.  Add more stamping in the background with Mixed Media Stamps! What is the 40 for? It's our house number in the street, the row of circles are the 'stones' around the border ..  I am ready for spring!  Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop Textured Birds Flowers Gone Wild Grungy Swirls Mixed Media Marks Mix A Sentiment 1 Pick A Number Round In Circles
