Grungy Butterfly

Image
Hi, I'm Vero (@ Vero.kt) and I welcome you to today's inspiration Monda. How's everybody ?I've been playing with  Inky Friends ,  Mixed media marks   ,  Grungy Sequins  and   Grungy Stuff  to create a colorful  Atc´s   that I hope you like. Very easy to do, we started. We cut watercolor paper to a size of 2.5 x 3.5 inches. In my case, the paper is smooth and hot pressed, and I color the backgrounds with inks. When the backgrounds dries (we can speed up the process with a heat gun) we're going to add texture and depth with permanent black ink, and with oxide inks here and there. Later, I emboss in white, choose one of the stamps from the set  Grungy Sequins . I choose one of the stamps from the Inky Friends set, stamp it, color it with watercolor pencils, then cut it out and integrate it into the composition. One of the parts that I enjoy the most is the composition, I have to admit that it is usually the part that takes me th...

Sarcastic Hedgehog Card by Gail

Image
Hello Rubber Dance fans.  October is here and it's one of my favourite months of the year.  Along with December, cos that's Christmas of course.  And January, cos a new start is always exciting.  February is also pretty cool, can be wild, but it's short and there's all that love around!!  Oooohh, and don't forget April, that's my birthday month so nuff said.  And I quite like June and July and August too, cos we should be able to soak up the sun.  Hmmmmm sunshine......!!!!  OK, so I have a thing for a lot of months, but October always makes me think of crisp leaves, bright colours and blue skies on frosty days.  And hedgehogs.  Gotta think about the hedgehogs......... I actually made this card for the Card Chain Challenge , which is an international card exchange that I help administrate and also participate in.  I used the sketch and humor options and was also inspired by the Rubber Dance moodboard this month, hence the h...

Flutterbies by butterflies

Image
Hello Everyone Debs today here with a birthday card I made using the fabulous Butterfly Trio. Using Vesafine I stamped the 3 butterflies and then sprinkled Embossing Glitter in 3colours and heat set it to bring out the sparkle. You can just see it sparkle in the photo below For the background I used my favourite medium of the moment, which is Sennelier Watercolours. I first spritzed the page with water and then loaded  my brush with colour. As I touched the page the colour exploded onto the paper whooshing around. I love how the colours run round the page chasing each other and blending together. Of course you need to be mindful of what colours you use, as mixing any combination of primary colours will make brown. Of course if that’s the colour you want, you can mix some beautiful shades of brown, but if browns aren’t what you want, don’t mix your primary colours of red, blue, and yellow. I dried the page thoroughly and then added black around the edge...

April Colour Challenge Reminder

Image
Hi there! Susanne here today and I'm sharing a little reminder for our April Colour Challenge . It's one of my favourite colour schemes this time! I've created a Birthday card with an embossing resist technique. I used the group of butterflies and embossed them with WOW! Clear Gloss powder. After that wet my watercolour paper and sprinkled it with Brushos. This is such an awesome and addicting technique. You never know how it'll turn out. My focal point is the Butterfly Girl #1 . It's embossed with WOW! Primary Ebony on white card stock. I cut it out and adhered it to the centre. Thank you for stopping by today! xx Susanne Supplies: Rubber Dance Stamps: Solid Butterflies Butterfly Girl #1 InLinkz.com Others: WOW! My Mutant Monarch

Image
Hello everyone! I have made another wall hanging, this time with two challenges in mind;  the very first hosted by EyeConnect Crafts - theme is "Butterflies",  and the other one at Norwegian blog Hjerteboden - theme is "Feathers". My Mutant Monarch - is it a butterfly or is it a king? It's both! Some close-ups: The "king" (or paper doll stamp) is mounted on the tag with foam dots  and the butterfly wings are bent up and curled. The real Monarch Butterfly has white dots on its wings, but I went with Glitter Dots in pink and blue: KING was spelled with some miniature alphabet stamps (manufacturer unknown). They are stamped flat and made to look raised up by painting some shadow on two sides: Below is the Lace-Up Tag chipboard from EyeConnect Crafts before I added a thin layer of Gesso, then Distress inks in several colours. Notice on the photo above that I added lines with Copper Stickles around the holes so they ...
