Textured Birds booklet by Ellie Knol

Image
At the moment I rather give a person a little booklet as a gift than a card.  An easy book with all the edges torn along a ruler.  You might guess that the cover has been made with a gelliprint.  I added some stamped script to it, a fussycut bird and a sentiment.  The shell-pieces finish it off, knotted with the thread from binding the pages.  Enjoy crafting!  Ellie Knol  Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop Textured Birds Grungy Swirls Mix A Sentiment 1

Notebook gelliprinted Sketchy Flowers by Ellie Knol

Image
A booklet with some printer paper cut to size (6 double pages) as the signatures, sewn right to the cover.  The base is a gelliprint pulled from my 5x8 inch gelliplate. I use this smaller one to cleanup my brayer, an the bigger 8x10 inch for the actual printing.  I even printed onto stickers, but that is a project still in progress.    Stamp the Sketchy Flowers onto the cover with Potting Soil Archival Ink and ...  ... color the images with touches of color, to match the color in the background, with watercolor pencils.  Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop Pencil Marks #1 Sketchy Flowers #1 Old Book Page

For this post I've made a book with wood slices as book 'covers' ... .. closed with some twine and wooden beads.. .. pages cut in the same shape as the inner part of the wood slices... .. the front decorated with structured paste and fabric ... .. all pages decorated .. ... with stamping in black as the base....   ... coloring ...  ... passport photos (one of each year) of one of our sons that got married last week... (he and his wife were so beautiful all dressed up!) .. stamping with colored ink... and ... washi tape. He liked it very much, I hope you do too...  I LOVE making books, and trying different ways of binding them. Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop   Round In Circles Mixed Media Marks

Journal Notes by Melina

Hi! It´s Melina here today, and I´ve been playing with the awesome new stamp set Journal Notes along with the In The Air and Things With Wings stamp sets. Recently I was very lucky to find notebooks from IKEA on sale.  I bought 5 of them (blank pages) with the idea of starting to make my  own planner journals. No, I´m not a planner girl,  but I can become one right!? :) Here´s the first spread I made. On this spread I stamped the "lined box" directly into my book to create a square for each day of the week. I then decorated the page using the  balloon from the In The Air stamp set. Here´s my second spread. On this spread I stared to apply Archival Inks. I then used the small stamps from the Journal Notes stamp set to create patterns and interest to the background. I used the same colour  on the stamps that was already in the background. Then I stamped images from the Things With Wings stamp se...
