Rubber Dance Art Stamps - Blog

 Hello arty friends, How are you doing? I have a card using the beautiful Lace Doilies stamps today, hope you like it. I don't actually own a lot of coloured ink pads, so I used acrylic paints for stamping. I apply the paint on the stamp with a sponge (you really don't need very much!). I chose shades of pink/purple/blue/turquoise and didn't mind them mixing a little bit on the craft mat. Just make sure you clean the paint off straightaway so it doesn't go hard on your stamps. I cut out the individual doilies and made little stacks of 2 or 3. When I was happy with the colour combinations I glued them together. I chose a DL size card and used one of the doily stamps to emboss the card. For this I used holographic embossing powder (I love the sparkly effect). I arranged my doily stacks on the card, with the biggest one in the bottom right corner as I wanted to place a quote on top of this.  Hi arty friends,  How are you? I hope you're all well. I was looking through my stamp collection and realised I hadn't used my "You rock" set very much. I was also really inspired by Suzanne's Zine tutorial on YouTube so I thought I'd make a little zine to send to a friend. I started by stamping the quotes on a piece of paper - I like to use cream paper or old book pages so the quote isn't such a stark white on the page. I had made a few zines using gel prints on a recent camping trip and chose a brightly coloured pink/orange one. I decided to stamp flower images on scrapbook paper using embossing ink and white embossing powder, then cut them out. I also cut out the quotes I was going to use. Next I used embossing ink and gold embossing powder to add some background stamping to the pages of the zine.  Hello arty friends, Angie here with a card inspired by me missing my best friend who lives further away from me than I would like. I'm a big fan of sending happy mail and often send handmade cards and other goodies to my friends - hopefully they enjoy receiving them! For this card I cut a piece of card a little bit smaller than the size of the card blank, as well as the pink mat to go underneath the image. I used a Versamark ink pad and clear embossing powder to stamp & emboss some background images on the white card. Next I used Distress Oxides to create the background colours. I used various pieces of coloured card, which were also made using Distress Oxides, to stamp a selection of images from the Carved Whimsy Wood set, as well as two sets of wings from the Collage Elements set. I chose two girls from my Tim Holtz paper dolls collection and arranged these, together with the stamped images, on the card, then glued them down. Good morning, crafty friends. Spring is finally here, so I decided to create a card for all occasions using Textured Flowers and a sentiment from the YOU ROCK set. I started by stamping a whole bunch of flowers and leaves and coloured them with Distress Spray stain.  I wanted more delicate leaves as well, so I just drew them on a piece of water color paper and fussy cut some. After cutting my jar (it's a Memory Box die) I assembled all my images, added some linen thread and a Rub On from Tim Holtz. I used the beautiful sentiment from the YOU ROCK on the inside. This looks like it's a lot of work, but I always have a bunch of flowers stamped and cut. So when I need a rather quick card, all I have to do is color them according to the occasion and I'm all set.
