Tag with Deer and Pines Fir Yew by Gail

Image
Hello Rubber Dance friends.  I hope your Christmas preparations are going well, if it is a festival you celebrate.   Gail here today and I want to share a sparkly tag.  We all need a little sparkle in our lives.       For my tag I have used stamps from Frosty Friends , Pines Fir Yew and Textured Christmas Green .   I started by cutting a tag from light grey card using Gummiapan's Large Old Tag die.  I stamped the deer with black archival and masked it.  I took one of the large stamps from Pines Fir Yew and stamped around the edge of the tag using Iced Spruce distress ink.  Then I repeated using Evergreen Bough distress ink. The deer was coloured with Promarkers and I used iridescent glitter glue lightly to add frosty sparkle to the pine border.  I added some green bobbly wool as a tag tie and thought it needed a little bit more so I stamped the holly sprig , coloured with Promarkers and fussy cut.   Thanks for...

Image
Have a nice week start Rubber Dance friends! Today I have made winterly cards for you. Building a snowman, in November? That will definitely work. So here in Germany, where I live, not yet ;-) The backgrounds are Gellliprints, which I made with a snowflake stencil, embossing paste and embossing powder. I've used two different powders, one is a sparkling snow and the other one is called white puff, the Snowflakes look awesome with that powder :) Thanks a lot for stopping by and do not forget to join our Rubber Dance Stampinglounge, if you're not already there ;-) Take care and stay safe! A Quick Card by Gail

Image
Hello.  Hope you are having a very happy and crafty Sunday.  Gail here today with a quick card featuring the lovely deer from the Rubber Dance Frosty Friends set. Love this beautifully detailed deer.  I kept it simple and used the current challenge colours of blue, blue and grey.  I stamped the deer on a piece of white card and masked it.  I stamped the Marble stamp with Stormy Sky distress ink and then cut out the panel.  I edged with the same distress ink, mounted on a drak blue layer and then on a pearlised grey card.  I stamped the Deer Santa sentiment with blue archival and done!!   All the christmas stamps are currently on sale and you can get a whopping 20% off!!  Don't forget to join the January challenge which is now based in the facebook group Thanks for dropping by.  Hugz

Winter Scene - Art Journal Page Tutorial

Image
Hello Everyone, Shilpa here, I am sharing this Winter Art Journal Page created with 2 Rubber Dance Stamps stes- Frosty Friends and Textured Houses. To start with I stamped houses with black archival ink and colored them with watercolors. I fussy cut them so I can adhere them on journal page. To create the snow, I applied Modelling paste and sprinkled glass glitter on it. When modelling paste dried completely, I used watercolors again to create blue/grey hues in the scene. I also stamped snowflakes randomly on the page with archival ink. On another watercolor paper, I stamped this cute snowman and colored him with watercolors!! Happy Winter sentiment is also from Frosty friends stamp set. I enjoyed playing with these super cute house images and watercolors!! Thanks so much for stopping by! Merry Christmas to you and your family! See you in New Year!! ...

A Christmas Flip Flop Book

Image
Good morning and happy Sunday. It's Sue here and I'm happy to be sharing another Christmas project with you, a flip-flop book. We've recently had a new release of fabulous, fun, Winter/Christmas stamps, so I was keen to try them out, and there's also some old favourites in here too. I've made a pre-cut flip-flop book before, but never one from scratch. I started with a piece of A3 black card and drew it out. All of the squares are 3.5 inches (I've very old school, non of this metric mullarkey) This was the largest I could get on the card and still have an easy to see measurement. I then cut this out with my old Fiskars trimmer. For my first layer I cut 10 pieces of blue patterned paper and gessoed the edges. These are all 3.25 inches Then I cut 10 pieces of watercolour card into 3 inch squares. That's it now, no more measuring thank goodness! Now for the fun part! I stamped the images from Whimsical Winter , Playfu...
