Boxy bag by GDT Ellie Knol

I was inspired by DT member Evelyn to take away the dust from my sewing machine.  She showed the making of a boxy bag in her blogpost " Something slightly different with Grungy Butterflies ".  So I decided to give that a go with the Doodle Flower stamp set and the  Vintage Script . I thought I was going to keep the flowers white if I covered it with a medium first. It helped a little, but color seeped to the back of the flowers too; that's fabric...  I tried to get the flowers white with some bleach.. that didn't work.. I thought maybe Twinkling H2o's don't react to bleach ...  I was a bit fed up with it, and decided to splatter the bleach onto the background.. suddenly white splashes appeared everywhere.  I think the reason it did not react to the bleach is because I ironed the fabric to dry after the inking. ... Propably the color went into the medium and made it permanent ... I like the splashe...

Christmas Card by Susanne.

Image
Hi my dear Rubber Dance Friends! This will definitely be my last Christmas Card to share! I used the Cozy Christmas Set and the Frosty Friends Set. I tried to work with non-traditional colors. For the background I used Twinkling H2Os to stamp the cones. On my main image I used the big bow first, cut a mask from scrap paper and stamped the candle on top. So the result is the candle sits behind the bow. I colored the images with Distress Inks. To be true. This card is not my style. I was sure nobody likes it. But no. A friend of mine picked some of my Christmas cards and she also chose this one! (For her grandma - LOL). I wish you some awesome holidays and a Happy New Year! Hugs, Susanne. Stamping without an Ink-Pad

Image
Hi everyone! Susanne from the DT here and today I'd like to show you two other mediums with which you can ink up your stamps. It doesn't always have to be standard ink-pads. First of all we start with a card that is stamped with Neocolor II watercolor crayons. I'm sure you can use any kind of watersolubal crayons to do this. Let the fun begin! I picked out some autumn colors and one of the maple leaves from the Rubber Dance "Maple Leaves" set. I colored the stamp with the crayons and added some water with a brush. You need to experiment a little bit not to use too much water but even enough to get a good impression. I fixed my background (it's heavy weight watercolor paper) with some washi tape onto my working area. Your paper will not slip away and you'll get a nice white border.   To add some interesst I added some color splatters to the card. I skribbled the crayons onto an acrylic block, added water and splashed it random...
