Autumn Morning Card by Guest Designer Olga

Image
Hello everyone! Olga here and I'm very happy to be a Guest Designer at the lovely Rubber Dance blog! I h ope that my card will give you inspiration to make something new. I made a autumn card "Autumn morning" using lots of Rubber Dance stamps. As you know I love everything that is close to nature and I used some natural elements from the forest to make my card more realistic.  I used several stamps with leaves (I Love Leaves) and made very pretty butterflies using Antique Botanicals. F or making leaves I stamped as usual with paints and for butterflies I used black StazOn ink, then cut everything and placed on my card. I wanted it to look natural, as if the leaves had fallen from a tree onto on my card. Several dew drops give to the card such felling that there was some rain :)  I wish everyone a wonderful day full of creativity! Hugs,  Olga :) Stamps I have used from Rubber Dance: I love Leaves Anitque Botanicals About Guest Designer O...

Autumn Card and Tutorial

Image
Hello crafty friends, Majo here today to show you how I created my *Autum card* using gum emulsion.  I stamped the leaf with 3 different Distress Inks and applied the gum emulsion I stamped the background image right on top and distressed all edges I inked the whole panel with Distress Ink *Brushes Corduroy* and spritzed & flicked with water. Now here comes the fun part of this technique, you just rub off the emulsion and your image is so very clear. I adhered the little panel with the sentiment with a linen thread and added an little charm. Have a wonderful day and I hope you will find the time to craft!  Don't forget about the 15% discount code you'll get on your next order in the Rubber Dance Online Store using " majo2015 " Stamp sets from Rubber Dance: Music Notes Maple Leaves www.rubberdance.com

Stamping without an Ink-Pad

Image
Hi everyone! Susanne from the DT here and today I'd like to show you two other mediums with which you can ink up your stamps. It doesn't always have to be standard ink-pads. First of all we start with a card that is stamped with Neocolor II watercolor crayons. I'm sure you can use any kind of watersolubal crayons to do this. Let the fun begin! I picked out some autumn colors and one of the maple leaves from the Rubber Dance "Maple Leaves" set. I colored the stamp with the crayons and added some water with a brush. You need to experiment a little bit not to use too much water but even enough to get a good impression. I fixed my background (it's heavy weight watercolor paper) with some washi tape onto my working area. Your paper will not slip away and you'll get a nice white border.   To add some interesst I added some color splatters to the card. I skribbled the crayons onto an acrylic block, added water and splashed it random...

Springlike Love Card

Image
Hi everyone! It's me, Susanne, today and this is my first post on the Rubber Dance Blog as a full design team member. I am so happy and proud to be on this talented team. I really love the stamps from Rubber Dance. They are so versatile and high quality. I use them in many of my projects. So for today I have a springy love card to share with you. I used colors that reflect the muddy and wet but already warm spring feeling. I used a woodgrain embossing folder for the background and added some Distress Ink Walnut Stain to the paper after I embossed it. I painted the color with a watertank brush all over the background. The image is stamped with some stamps from the "Vintage Birds" set. I used Distress Inks (Peeled Paint, Spiced Marmalade, Fired Brick and Walnut Stain). The blobs are made with a stencil. To finish the card I added some embellishments. The leaf comes with the "I love leaves" stamp set from Rubber Dance. I stamped it with Distress Ink B...

Be true with your Mixed Media art

Image
Hello my dear crafty friends! Irit is here and this is my altered new canvas made with Rubber Dance stamps and Tando Creative masks. First I made the texture over the background with pieces of paper, chalkboard paint and a lot of misting. Then I made the masked images with texture paste and then stamped over the dry (wait a lot) background and added white shadows around the images. All stamps are from Rubber Dance : I used a stamp from the Something Wonderful sentiment set, leaves from Twiggy  Leaves set and made a kind of a frame around with the Fluorishes stamp. Did you know there's a SALE at the Rubber Dance webshop right now? Thanks for stopping by! Irit

Autumn Decoration

Image
Hi everyone. This is Susanne and I'm really happy to be here again to show you another papercrafting project that I've created with the gorgeous leaf stamps by Rubber Dance. I'm sure I already told you, that this is one of my favourite stamp sets! As you can see, I created an autumn lantern. I love little lights in our house when it's getting dark outside. It's too early for christmas decoration, so I thought - why shouldn't I make myself a fall luminary.  I used the same technique for the leaves which I showed you in my video tutorial of my last post. I'll give you the link at the end of this post.  The luminary is cut with my Silhouette Cameo out of green cardstock. I covered the edges with Distress Crackle Paint Walnut Stain and added some Fran-tage embossing powder aged ochre to let it look a little bit rusty. I created an opening on the back to insert a LED candle light (please don't add a real candle, you don't want...

Thinking of You

Hi everyone, Steph Ackerman here today with some lovely stamps from Rubber Dance.  This set - I Love Leaves - has a variety of leaves in all shapes and sizes. I created a pocket to hold a tag and first stamped the pocket with the Burlap stamp in brown. This Burlap stamp looks quite authentic. Next, I stamped the leaves in several colors on white cardstock.  Wrapping ribbon around the panel, I then matted it with brown cardstock before adding the panel to the tag.  The sentiment is from the set called Just a note.  This collection of sentiment stamps is perfect for a wide variety of projects. Thanks for stopping by today! Steph To find all the stamps used for this card, and many more, visit the Rubber Dance web shop: www.rubberdance.com
