Distress Ink Card by Dot

Hi everyone, It's so hard to choose which stamp to play with sometimes, but today the elephant from 'African Animals'  has joined us for a bit of fun. This card started as the elephant being stamped onto some card that had been swiped through Distress Ink on my craft sheet and then cut out.  Then I needed to stop and think about it.  He is walking slowly so I've sent him on a journey. The background is just a little bit of ink on an acrylic block with some mountains/hills added in using more ink and some torn paper. The words from the  Think Again  stamp set. And to finish the journey theme I've added some birds from 'A Little Birdie' . The colours are from our current challenge over on facebook in the Rubber Dance Stamping Lounge. I hope you have time to join in the fun there.          Happy Stamping! Dot x

Hello my dear crafty friends! This week couldn't be more exciting!!! After the design team announcement, where I could introduce to you a wonderful group of super talented and amazing artists, I am able to share our brand new stamp release! It's the very first stamp release I've ever made. I made the drawings and the designs and edited everything on the computer. I was so nervous when I pressed the first sets. Finally I can proudly say that I am really happy with the results! At this point I want to say a big THANK YOU to my design team for helping me, finding great names for the sets. All of the new sets, we have four, are 10% off right now in the store.  This runs until February 3rd.  Are you curious??? Let's start with kind of a Spring themed set! I had the feeling we need some more flowers, don't we? Here is our new big set, some Doodle Flowers: I made them from drawings that I did blind. I kept my eyes on the flower itself and dood...

Whale Wishes - A Mixed Media Card by Sue

Image
Good afternoon and happy Sunday.  I'm really pleased to be sharing my mixed media take on this months colour/theme challenge. This time around I've gone with the colours.   I started by creating a couple of gelli print backgrounds using this month's icy colours. I removed some of the paint before I made my print by stamping the music stamp. This means that the white card shows underneath and is perfect for backgrounds. The only thing to remember is that any text is reversed. I trimmed one sheet to use as the background, and used to other to stamp my whales, and die cut the seaweed. Don't you just love these colours! To finish off I just added some liquid glass, sequins, glimmer sprays, and of course some stitching. Stamps used: Have a very happy weekend, and thanks so much for looking x
