Rubber Dance Art Stamps - Blog

Hello, my crafty friends!  Mary here as guest designer for April, showing you how I made this cute postcard using the Rubber Dance Funny Fungi stamp. I started with a 4x6 inch piece of Bristol paper, and splotched blue and green high flow acrylics and water down, spreading it all around with my fingers, trying to leave, some white space (still working on that! ).  Then, I painted on white acrylic paint, placed a stencil over the wet paint, and then rubbed through the stencil with a baby wipe to remove some of the wet paint.  I did that same technique with yellow paint.  I made sure it was all dried thoroughly. I grabbed another stencil with thin lines and sponged on dark blue acrylic paint with a makeup sponge.  For a little added texture, I inked a newsprint stamp with light gray ink and stamped the whole background. Hi Everyone, Cornelia here today. I am having so much fun playing around with my new Rubber Dance stamps! My stamp supplies: Bonny Bunny I stamped the bunny on Kraft card stock. Added the carrots with a bit of masking and colored with Inktense pencils. For the white I used white acrylic paint. Stamped the sentiment. Stamped the small carrots on scrap paper, colored them and added them to the card with some foam tape and added Nymo thread. That rabbit would also be perfect for Easter cards. Hope you like this. Hi everyone, I'm sharing an easy card today that uses distress inks, stencils and some of the fun new stamps that have been released this year. The Grungy Borders and Doodle Flowers are the stamps used on this card, with some stars from Textured Flowers for a little more detail and words from Joy In A Jar. The background uses Distress Ink from the craft sheet with some Distress Ink also put onto a stencil and spritzed with a little water before placing it onto the inked areas. This is one of my favourite things to do. I thought that the words from Joy In a Jar were perfect for this card and they stamp so beautifully. Hello everyone, Majo here with a Birthday Card! I wanted this card to be very bright since I made it for a friend's birthday in January and I wanted to brighten her day during this gloomy time of the year. I used Distress Oxide on my background and spritzed it with a lot of water.  After I dried it with my heat gun I repeated the steps twice. I stamped the flowers and took off the colour with bleach. After stamping my Birthday wish on a piece of black card stock I assembled all layers and added some rhinestones for sparkle. Hi it's Gerry on the blog today with a fun card with the Rubber Dance  textured houses  stamp set. I made a little village in the background and used the little detail stamps from the set to decorate the frame. I used distress oxide inks for the background as well as for the colouring. I did some layering in the circle in the background and used a mask I cut with the stamped image. I fussy cut the little house I stamped and embossed with clear embossing powder. Hello, crafty friends!  It's Mary Szymanski here as April's Guest Designer! I'm so glad to be able to show you how I used the awesome  Fish Diet Stamps to make this art journal page super fun! I started with a 5x6 piece of Bristol cardstock that I had scraped white gesso onto and stuck down some scraps of drywall tape to.  I made an easy under the sea background by rolling blue and green acrylic paints over the texture with my brayer.  I added a bit of quinacridone nickel azo gold and yellow along the way. I wanted to add some schools of fish, but didn't want to hand draw them, so I used gray acrylic paint through a 'v' stencil and added little eyeballs for some easy fishies! I used a black paint marker to make the fish stand out a bit from the background. I added some other stenciling to the background with blue acrylic paint for some added texture.  Then I got to work on the fish skeleton.  I stamped the skeleton, extra bones an...
