Whale Wishes Tag

Image
Hello Everyone, Shilpa here, I am sharing Quick and easy tag tutorial with you today... for which I have used Rubber Dance Whale Wishes stamp set and Brushos. It is very easy to create this beautiful background with Brushos. I have used watercolour paper here. I sprinkled Brushos powders (Turquoise, Sea green and yellow ochre) on the surface. Spritzed water onto it and colours started activating and spreading. When I got desired background, I dried the surface with heat tool. Whale Wishes stamp set has lovely coordinating stamps such as seaweed, bubbles and sentiments. On another watercolour paper I stamped Whale using Iced spruce Distress oxide ink and sprinkled clear embossing powder on it. Heat set that to get lovely raised embossed effect. I water coloured Whale using Distress Inks- Stormy sky and Peacock feathers. And lastly, I adhered Whale on to the tag using 3dfoam adhesive.  here is the link to Rubb...

Let It Be - Cardmaking Tutorial by Dot

Image
Hi everyone, It's Dot here with you today with a card tutorial for you. I wasn't too sure where this card was heading until around step 5.  That's when it turned into a love story. The finished card. Step 1: I started by using Shaded Lilac and Broken China Distress Inks on my craft sheet, spritzing with a little water and swiping my card through it. I dabbed it a couple of extra times because I get side-tracked with the beautiful droplet effects. Step 2: I thought I'ld do a little ghosting with a stencil and water but it didn't really have much of an effect on this background so ... using the same inks, I added a little background stamping with some stamps from the Textured Feathers set. Step 3: Using my stamping platform, I stamped da Vinci Old Man and a da Vinci woman (this one isn't available anymore, but I think that the da Vinci Woman #3 would work beautifully). Step 4: At this s...

Artist Trading Cards with Distress Oxides by Susanne

Image
Hi there! Susanne writing today. I'm sharing two artist trading cards (ATC) with the Textured Spring Stamps and a Distress Oxide background. An ATC measures 2.5" x 3.5" and is meant to be for trade among artists. There are no restrictions on which medium to use to create an ATC. The only specification is the size. You can create them with paper, clay, wood....and all things that you can imagine. I stamped the main image with Archival Ink and coloured them with Inktense pencils. The sentiment is stamped with WOW! Embossing Powder. Are you also looking forward to spring? I do! Thank you for stopping by today! xx Susanne! A Little Birdie - A Colourful Tag

Image
Hi everyone, It's Donna here today creating a colourful tag for you...I must be wishing for Spring already I think! I used a size 8 manila  tag  and swooshed it through some  Distress Oxides  that I had already diluted on my craft mat with a spritz of water. I stuck to the pink, green and orange palette for this to create a muted background. I then used a feather stamp from the  Textured Feathers  set, stamping with a blue Distress Oxide as I just wanted some subtle stamping in the background. I then added further stamping in black with a mixture of stamps from  Weed Love  and  A Little Birdie . I then used a sheet of  Strathmore Mixed Media  paper to stamp some more images from  A Little Birdie  and some flowers from the  Textured Flowers  set. I coloured these in with my Zig Clean Colour pens, then fussy cut them out to adhere to the tag. I then added the sentiment from  A Little Birdie ...
