Rubber Dance Art Stamps - Blog

Hi, it's Majo on the DT here to share instructions to create a fun little box, which has the advantage that you can use it over and over again, since it's not glued together, just held by the loop. I started out with two strips of cardstock measuring 2 x 9". I scored them at 1½ and 3½" and applied distress ink in various colours (Bundled Sage, Stormy Sky and Spun Sugar). I used my Tag punch from Stampin' Up on both sides, this is what it looks like now: For a bit more texture I stamped the fishing net with "Bundled Sage" Distress Ink on all sides. I stamped with Ranger Perfect Medium and used the Stampendous "Detailed White" Embossing powder. The images are from the Rubber Dance Stamps sets " Something Fishy " and " New Retro Beach " I added some Rub Ons.   After adhering one strip to the other I made the loop from a piece of Chiffon. Hi my dear crafty friends! I'm taking part in the Daisy Yellow ICAD challenge this year. It's about creating one index card every day for 61 days. Today I'd like to show you three of them and give you some inspiration for another way of using your stamps. We do some watercolor stamping today. I chose two of the beautiful stamps from the set "Antique Botanicals" from Rubber Dance, as well as the lovely crab from the "Something Fishy" set. Additionally I used some of my favourite sentiments. You'll find a list of all stamps used at the end of this post. This is my icad #8 and here are some step by step photos with instructions: I used the Neocolor II watercolor crayons to ink up my stamp. I think I need some Vitamin SEA! Hi everyone! Today I'm showing you a piece that I'm entering in someone else's challenge, namely the Tuesday Throwdown  one where the theme this week is Out To Sea - which is right up my alley! According to the weather statistics, the month of May was the coldest one in 50 years here in Norway! Hopefully June will be much better, because I really need some sun .... and vitamins .... Now, I know that the sun gives us vitamin D, but to me summer is all about the sea ..., which is why I made this spread in an old book: Before I started, I glued several pages together to make a more sturdy surface to work on. I even stapled them together to make sure they'd stick. I used white Gesso on the spread first, then painted them with a mix of brown and gold Silks Acrylic Glaze (their yummy shimmer doesn't show on the photo). Is it summer yet? I know it is in some parts in the world, while the rest of us still are waiting for those long, warm and lazy days ... perhaps by the sea?
