Colorful Flower ATC's by Ellie Knol

Image
What you see is what you get with this series of 3 ATC's. I added a few notes to each of them.  Create colorful backgrounds with distress inks.  Use leftover strips of colorful backgrounds to be a new background.  (yes, really, this background is made with strips of paper! ) Fussy cut the  flowers  from watercolor paper and add a little color to the centre.  Heat emboss  Grungy Swirls  in white in the background. Add white splatters with an opaque ink or paint. Stamp  script  in the background. Add a sentiment .  Sponge more color around the edges and distress the edge  of the paper with a paper distresser or a sharp edge.  Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop Pencil Marks # 4 Mixed Media Marks Mix A Sentiment 1 Grungy Swirls

Textured Birds booklet by Ellie Knol

Image
At the moment I rather give a person a little booklet as a gift than a card.  An easy book with all the edges torn along a ruler.  You might guess that the cover has been made with a gelliprint.  I added some stamped script to it, a fussycut bird and a sentiment.  The shell-pieces finish it off, knotted with the thread from binding the pages.  Enjoy crafting!  Ellie Knol  Rubber Dance Stamps: The Rubber Dance Webshop Textured Birds Grungy Swirls Mix A Sentiment 1

ATC's, Using Water with Distress Inks - by Dot

Image
Hi everyone, I hope that all is well where ever you are in the world. Today I've put together a ATC tutorial for you using the Merry Magpie and Round in Circles stamp sets.  It was inspired by my football team (the Magpies) making it to the footy finals this year. You can see more examples of projects made with the Merry Magpie set here , here  and here . Although Oxides seem to be popular at the moment, Distress Inks are still heaps of fun when using them with water.  This tutorial shows a few different ways that water can be used with these inks. Step 1: Swipe some distress inks onto your craft sheet, spritz with a little water until it beads up, and swipe your card through it. Dry. This is the 1st water effect. I used Peeled Paint, Mustard Seed and Vintage Photo as they fit this month's challenge colours. Step 2: Touch up the card by blending the same colours that were on your sheet. I always start on the craft sheet and ...
