Mini-album Box by Guest Designer Lee Thompson

When I first heard about Rubber Dance back in May, I instantly fell in love with the company and I think Bibi's stamps are amazing!  I'm so exicted that she asked if I wanted to guest design for her. I have been sitting on a project for almost a year, not quite sure where I wanted to go with it.   I had papered the box and tags and then the project stalled.  Once I was asked to guest design, I decided I wanted to use the  Retro Beach  stamps!   The Retro Beach stamps are gorgeous.  The Sea Mesh background stamp is one of my favorites and I have been using it for all sorts of textures.  I used every stamp on the sheet in this project. I stamped with Distress Ink, and then I sprayed the stamped images with water.  The water made the ink wick and I figured it was a great effect for a beachy project. This is why the stamps are a bit blurry.   I used embossing powder on the edges and images to stan...

Summer Trio by Guest Designer Judi Kauffman

Image
My friend Judi Kauffman surprised me with a trio of summery cards that use Rubber Dance stamps from the “ Retro Beach ” sheet.   Judi used Tsukineko Timber Brown StazOn ink to stamp the shells on White Iris Shimmer Sheetz. Using the same ink, she stamped the mesh, image with mother and child, and Anne Morrow Lindberg quote on Worldwin Paper’s ColorMates Smooth & Silky 90# White cardstock.  The two dotted backgrounds are Yellow and Blue Iris Shimmer Sheetz embossed with Lots of Dots Folder (Shimmer Sheetz and folder from Elizabeth Craft Designs), lightly sanded to bring out the white core of the Shimmer Sheetz and tone down a bit of the sparkle. Cardstock pieces and the shipping tag were sponged with Ranger Adirondacks Brights in Sailboat Blue and/or Sunshine Yellow. She used Prismacolor pencils to color the water and sky on the card with mesh background. All three Kraft Brown card bases measure 5” x 7”. The little yellow bubbles are die...

Stampbooking, Part 1

Image
Did you say stampbooking??? Stampbooking is pretty much the same as scrapbooking, except that we use rubber stamps instead of photos. Here's a stampbook page I made using the retro style  beach stamps from Rubber Dance. I guess I could frame this one and put up on the wall in my beach house, you know - the one with a view over the ocean and a private beach? (In my dreams ....) Until I get my dream beach house, I'll look at this one and keep dreaming ... :-) I started with a tuquoise 30 x 30 cm (12 x 12 inches) cardstock that I sprayed some ink on here and there. The egdes were curled and wrinkled while wet. All the stamps are from this page , except the vintage script one (lower right corner), which you can find here . I stamped everything using brown and turquoise Distress inks. I wish you a lovely summer! Thank you for stamping by :-) XOX, Bibi from Rubber Dance To find the stamps used in this article, and many more, visit the Rubber Dance web...

Summer Love by Guest Designer Olga Kovalchuck

Image
Hello Rubber Dance fans! Olga here, and I'm very happy and very exited to be a guest designer! :-) I hope you all have a wonderful sunny day and I want to share with you my new project, that I made using amazingly beautiful Rubber Dance stamps. We had a very strong rains here for a long period and I was inspired by this weather and nature. Now you can see the result of my work. I made a summer card "LOVE" and a very sweet vellum envelope for this card. I hope you will like it and it will inspire you for your new creations! :-) I made very beautiful leaves using acrylic paints and of course amazing leaves stamps from Rubber Dance. The word love I stamped using Stazon and then cut it from the paper and add to this word a little of green paint. The leaves that you can see on my card I stamped on office paper and the leaves that I put on my vellum envelope I stamped and cut from vellum. I really enjoyed creating this project! Please head over to my blog ...
