Rubber Dance Art Stamps - Blog

Good morning, my sweet friends. Today I show you a little recycled box, you could easily use for Christmas or any other occasion for a little present. I will make some of them and fill them up with home baked cookies for my friends.  Since they should be able to use them again and again,  I decided to go for the awesome flowers, they ALWAYS fit! I started by applying distress inks on watercolor paper, I used Victorian Velvet, Spiced Marmalade, Tattered Rose and Mustard Seed. I stamped the flowers very close together since my box just measures 2 3 / 8 x 3”. After stamping I colored them with Victorian Velvet. I cut my panel to the size to fit my box, distressed the edges and adhered them to my little box.  Ready to go …… I have used the following stamps: Doodle Flowers   I hope you have a wonderful weekend. Hi Everyone, Saadia here: I want to share an art journal spread with you. I hope you like it. Art journal spread  Rubber Dance provided me the stamps to work with, but the opinions I share here, are solely my own. I applied a coat of white gesso to the pages and let it dry. Next, I applied acrylic paints with my fingers. Did a little bit of background stamping with  Doodle Borders 2  and  Mix a Sentiment  stamp sets. After that, stamped the Dream Catcher image and words from the  Dream Catcher  stamp set. Finished the spread by adding some marks and a border with a black pen. That's all for now. Hi again sweet Rubber Dance friends.  Ingunn here with my second post as this month's Guest Designer.  For the last month I have been almost obsessed with ultra thick embossing powder, or UTEE.  This is my first attempt to work on a canvas, but these butterflies are to heavy to go on a card.  For the background to make the textured columns I used pieces from a silk blouse with sequins and ribbons.  I also used acrylic paints, Gesso and texture paste.   I have used Grungy Butterfly #4 , Mix A Sentiment #1 ,  Grungy Borders and Grungy Stuff .  What I wanted to achieve was to make the butterflies into an "enamel jewelry piece".   This is one way to do it with a regular heat gun. (its messy, but totally fun) You need a box to put the UTEE in and a heat resistant one to do the melting in if you want minimum mess.  Then you need your stamped images ready colored and embossed, and an embossing pad.  Start by pressing your stamped image on your watermark

Hello lovely Rubber Dance fans, it´s Evelyn here today! Today I want to share with you my art journal page, this time a very colorful and glittery one. I used my all time favourite Grungy Butterflies and Small Grungy Butterflies stamps. I started by tapping Distress Oxide stamp pads in mermaid lagoon, picked raspberry, blueprint sketch and twisted citron directly on my pre gessoed pages, spritzed them with water and dried them with my heat tool. I repeated the process until I was happy.  After this I gave both pages another coat of white Gesso. This toned the colors down a bit and also made them water resistable. Next I stamped the rings and the circles from the Grungy Stuff stamp set with VersaFine Clair Morning Mist on the left side to start my composition. To get even more texture I used the Mix a Sentiment #1 stamp with VersaFine Clair nocturne and stamped randomly to both sides of the page. Time for the lovely butterflies: I stamped one of t

Hi everyone, it's Dot here with a fun Art Journal tutorial for you. I've been adding to my Art Journal gradually.  The aim has been to show different techniques and different stamps each time. Today I've decided to use Distress Inks to create a quick and easy background topping it with the Butterfly Trio stamp set. My Art Journal has pages that come out, which is great to work on. This time I've made a page myself out of white card to add into the art journal. The reason for this is because the DI's look great on white card. The white makes the colours a little brighter. Are you ready?  Here we go ... To keep a little in line with this month's colours from our facebook challenge, I've swiped some Aged Mahogany and Fossilized Amber DI onto a craft sheet. Spritzing with some water until it beads up it was a simple task to swipe the card through the ink. I like to mop up by just patting the page into any drops that are left. I

Hi lovely Rubber Dance friends, it's Gerry on the blog today and I have sort of a free style Art journal Page with the  Crazy Flowers #1 . I made this just playing around with inks and Rubber Dance Stamps and it was a fun experiment to see what happens without having a plan.  I did lots of layering with the inks to create the background so be sure to watch the video so you can see the full tutorial. I used the Distress Oxides Ink Pads - Lucky Clover, Broken China and Chipped Sapphire to create the colourful background. I stamped the  Crazy Flowers #1   with Nuvo Clear Mark Ink Pad and I added Nuvo - Embossing Powder - Gold Enchantment melted the powder with a heat tool   I doodled a bit around the flowers with a Sakura Pen and I added some highlights with a White POSCA Paint Pen Fine. Hi everyone!  Today I have two cards for you. First I made some prints with my gelliplate. I used acrylic paint, Dylusion sprays and stencils. Here you see the result. You can make your own background, if you like. After that I used "Fave Flower" and used my watercolor from Prima Marketing. For the butterflies I sprayed some Dylusions on watercolorpaper. For the accents on the background I used "Borders #1", "Grungy Stuff", "Mix a Sentiment #2" and "Journal Words". I added some white dots with my Posca markers.
