Hello, dear stamping friends all over the world! Bibi here today with THREE things to celebrate! Today is the Norwegian National Day , which is celebrated with childrens' parades and marching bands all over the country. The proper way to greet a Norwegian on May 17th is to say, "Gratulerer med dagen!" (Literally: Congratulations with the day ). This photo is from a parade in Oslo: May 17th is also my mum's birthday and today she's turning 75! After watching the parades, we're celebrating mum's big day with family and friends at her place. I have always made birthday cards for mum using the colours of our flag (red, white and blue), but this year I did something different and I know she likes these colours, too. Background paper made with spray inks. The flower stamps are from Antique Botanicals . The Happy Birthday is a die from Quietfire Design , and I put two die cuts on top of one another - white under blue for contrast ag...
If you are looking for DT Majo's post today, please click here. Hello everyone! Bibi here today with two CAS cards I've made for the current CASology challenge , where the theme this week is JOURNEY: My tip: When using only a sentiment stamp on your card, you can add a bit of interest by cutting out one of the words, frame it and adhere it with foam tape off to the side. For the third time this summer, Rubber Dance is sponsoring CASology - a challenge blog that is all about C lean A nd S imple (CAS). Each week, we'll study clean and simple design using a cue word as our inspiration. The design team will share their CAS creations and a little bit about their designs to inspire you to create a clean and simple card of your own! Weekly challenges begin Tuesday mornings. Interpret the word on the weekly cue card however you'd like! This is about creativi...
Message in Norwegian : Hvis du foretrekker å lese dette innlegget på norsk, kan du gjøre det og samtidig bli med på giveawayen på den andre bloggen vår ved å klikke her. Hello everyone! Bibi here today with a fun project, using the Totem Monarch Poppet chipboard from EyeConnect Crafts . I had such a blast with this and I hope what I've made will inspire you to make something similar. The difference between the chipboards from EyeConnect Crafts and others ones I've seen out there, is that they are made to connect (hence the name). There are two categories, one called Lace-Ups which you bind together using ribbons, string, lace, etcetera and another category of chipboards with smaller holes so you can connect the pieces using tiny eyelets or brads. This is what it looks like. The pieces are laser cut, and you easily remove them from the base - save that part and use it as a stencil for another project. Notice there is also a chipboard of the butterfly's...
Hi everyone, I hope that all is well where ever you are in the world. Today I've put together a ATC tutorial for you using the Merry Magpie and Round in Circles stamp sets. It was inspired by my football team (the Magpies) making it to the footy finals this year. You can see more examples of projects made with the Merry Magpie set here , here and here . Although Oxides seem to be popular at the moment, Distress Inks are still heaps of fun when using them with water. This tutorial shows a few different ways that water can be used with these inks. Step 1: Swipe some distress inks onto your craft sheet, spritz with a little water until it beads up, and swipe your card through it. Dry. This is the 1st water effect. I used Peeled Paint, Mustard Seed and Vintage Photo as they fit this month's challenge colours. Step 2: Touch up the card by blending the same colours that were on your sheet. I always start on the craft sheet and ...
