Stampbooking, Part 1

Did you say stampbooking???

Stampbooking is pretty much the same as scrapbooking, except that we use rubber stamps instead of photos.

Here's a stampbook page I made using the retro style beach stamps from Rubber Dance. I guess I could frame this one and put up on the wall in my beach house, you know - the one with a view over the ocean and a private beach? (In my dreams ....) Until I get my dream beach house, I'll look at this one and keep dreaming ... :-)

I started with a tuquoise 30 x 30 cm (12 x 12 inches) cardstock that I sprayed some ink on here and there.
The egdes were curled and wrinkled while wet. All the stamps are from this page, except the vintage script one (lower right corner), which you can find here. I stamped everything using brown and turquoise Distress inks.

I wish you a lovely summer!

Thank you for stamping by :-)

Love the idea of stampbooking Bibi!! And I love this stamp set. I was just saying to Helen, who has made a delicious card with this set,

that I may need to do some more shopping, ;) lol. I especially like the effect of the curled pages. When I try it they just look as if I've been carelss and not 'aged' like this paper. Very cool :D x

Thank you very much, Twinkle! Perhaps the trick to the aged sides are to use more water. I use a flat brush dipped in water and "paint" water on the edges and let them soak it up before I start curling and tearing. I use spray ink mostly to age the sides, but sometimes I need to go over it again with more Distress ink - then spray on more water so the ink floats more.
I LOVE the card Helen made with these stamps!! And her video tutorial is awesome!

Love this Bibi - brave to go so large with just stamps but it really works! I've always wanted to live by the sea too - maybe when I retire!

Absolutely stunning in every way! I love the quaint charm it beholds and the gorgeous color palette captures the essence of the beach! The torn, worn edges give this so much character!! ♥

Thank you, Katy! It is the first time I go this large with stamps only, but it was fun to have that much space as my "playground" :-)
