Easy Joseph's Coat Technique - Sue

Good afternoon and happy Tuesday. It's Sue here with a really easy way of doing the Joseph's Coat technique.

This is traditionally done with lots of black ink over coloured embossing. It looks lovely but it can be a bit patchy, and your ink pad has to be really juicy. I once made my Dad a card and he looked like the police had taken his fingerprints for days!
Anyway this technique is much simpler as it uses black card rather than black ink.

The first thing to do is to go over your black card with an anti-static bag (or talc in a pop sock - glamerous eh) as you use white embossing powder and any little flecks will show.
I've just stamped and embossed Textured Flowers, and Fly Fly Flowers. The stars are also from the Textured Flowers plate.

Yes it's those inks and daubers again! You just pick up the colour with the small pointy end and dab it over the white embossing. The Stazon colours it beautifully and dries really quickly - no messy paw prints! Be as careful as you can as Stazon can show on dark card too.
This is my envelope book that I made here. There is still the opening in the envelope, so I made sure to stick my panel down only as far as this - that way I can put a tag or anything I like in there and it's getatable but not on display.
Next I just matted my panels onto some white card and added my go to Tim Holtz stickers, and we're all done! If you've not tried this, give it a go. It's fun and simple and I think it has the 'wow' factor.
I hope you like my Springtime flowers, and thanks very much for looking.

Supplies
Stazon inks
Latex daubers
Tim Holtz stickers and washi tape

What a fabulous technique Sue, I honestly thought you had stamped onto that magic scratch card and painstakingly scraped your way through it delicately.
Magnificent and so effective!! Hugs Tracey xx
