Fly Free with Rubber Dance birds

Hello my dear crafty friends and welcome to my monthly Rubber Dance post.
This is Irit here and I hope to inspire you a bit with my Spring colors.
This time I am going to share two  new art journal pages pages with A LOT of Rubber Dance stamps.
This is a Spring time here and around this half of the world. So Spring and birds and flowers are the must when you are in this bright and high mood as I was when I made those art pages.
First the art journal pages were covered with liquid gesso and when it was dry I added some texture with Tando masks and texture paste. The flowers  were added mostly on the right side and the arrows on the left, but then I added some flowers on the right side and wiped them so you just can see the down colors.
I made a big piece of Gelli print paper with acrylic paints and then stamped RD A little birdie... stamps over this mono print paper and hand cut them to glue over the page.
The rows of birds were stamped on the top of the page with black permanent ink and a few feathers- not really, the pine tree branches from Pines Fir Yew set- were added here and there on the bottom.
Then I added a few stamped branches from the same stamp set  and this Dream it, Wish it , Do it sentiment from Think Again set.

As the last touch I added FLY FREE stamped on the top and painted inside.
The whole page was misted, painted and covered with a lot of gel medium.

I really like the colors of the finished page and those stamp sets are the MUST when you make your Spring art journal pages.

Stamps from Rubber Dance used on this project:
A little Birdie
Pines Fir Yew
Think Again

Brusho ATCs by Majo

Hi everyone, it's Majo from the DT here today sharing some ATCs I've made:

I created the background with Brusho (first experience!) and stamped the beautiful sea creatures from the set "Something Fishy" with dark brown ink.
I added some "bubbles" using the very versatile circles from the set "Round in Circles"
and heat embossed them in silver.

On one of the ATCs I left a little note from the crab: BRB! from the set "Sarcastic Superpower".
I'm not sure where he's going ...., but he'll be right back!

All the stamps can be found here: www.rubberdance.com

Have fun crafting!

Rubber Dance Stamps with Acetate and Acrylics!

Hi everyone it is Helen here today sharing another video tutorial for you to try out.

Todays two cards are stamped onto acetate sheets and coloured with acrylic paint.  This is a fun technique and I love how this has turned Katy's lovely Antique Botanicals into quite a modern and graphic card design…….and I have just realised that I have called the stamps vintage blooms on my video tutorial!!!!  Back in a jiffy!………I think I have sorted it out but if I revert in the tutorial to calling them vintage blooms just ignore me ;-)

On with the cards!!!

The card on the left has been made with a very old piece of acetate indeed - It has been in my craft room forever……..I think it would have been used to make slides for graph presentations many many moons ago!!!!  I wanted to show that you are not limited to plain acetate when you try this technique and that printed acetates can work too.

As usual the inner matches the outer although this time I have left out the greeting as I think these cards whilst making lovely birthday cards would also be fab thank you or note cards too so I left my options open by leaving them blank.

As usual I am sharing a tutorial here today and I hope that I persuade you to get stamping on your acetate.  It is a little tricky but the results are worth it I hope you agree.

These cards feature stamps from the Antique Botanicals stamp set and the quote is from the Something Wonderful stamp set.  You can check out these and all the other lovely Rubber Dance stamps by clicking on this link!

Before you go here is the cutting guide for this card as promised in the video tutorial:

White Card Base - 8" x 8" scored at 4" or 20 cm x 20 cm scored at 10 cm
Acetate  - 3" x 7 " or 7.5 cm x 17.5 cm
White Card  - 3" x 7 " or 7.5 cm x 17.5 cm (cut 2)
Black Card - 3 3/16" x 7 3/16" or 7.75 cm x 17.75 cm (cut 2)
Orange Card - 3 6/16" x 7 6/16" or 8 cm x 18 cm (cut 2)

Well that is it from me for today I hope you are having a crafty Sunday and like what I have shared today.  If you do you may wish to follow this link because I shared another idea for this technique a couple of days ago over on my blog…..and of course two more cards featuring even more lovely stamps from Rubber Dance.

Hugs

Helen x

Helloooo, stampers!

The day has come to draw THREE winners of my rubber stamp giveaway and I bet that no matter what I write here, nobody will read it because they've already scrolled down to see if their name has been drawn! *LOL* But if you're still with me, here's a little reminder of what the giveaway was all about: It was for all our blog followers, as a token of my appreciation for your support.
